Hey

bill, This is a beautiful cue by the great Art Cantando.......but the last cue that Art finished himself was the "big 5". Which Sandra also scrimed.
It's very safe with me..........LOL

yes you are right this cue is not finished yet it will be finished by barry szamboti. and the case is done by quivers phil esastwood

A dissenting opinion

Bill, you've done a lot for Art and been patron to some of his biggest projects...bringing exquisite works to us all.

Respectfully though, I think that a white "pyrography" wrap is the wrong direction for this cue and should be carefully rethought. Art was a traditional cuebuilder who would have insisted on a wrap that let the workmanship of the cue stand out. I can hear him even now gushing about the magnificent hand engraving Sandra has contributed to the cue's overall beauty.

This is a BIG cue...surely the pinnacle of almost any collection, and Art made so few cues. His collaboration cues with Sandra being the most expressive and desirable among them. Moden laserwork has no place competing with the handwork of master artisans.

That being said, were I to own this cue, I'd be eager to acquire such a wrap in a framed treatment with photo or illustration to document Sandra's work. She sometimes keeps her original pilot drawings for the customer. Now that kind of framed art would make for a fitting compliment to the cue, would enhance its owner's appreciation and would set it apart from any other Cantando, first or last.

Whatever you decide, thanks for bringing another Cantando cue to market and showing us these pics.
