Anyone have any experience with these or cueitup holders ? I'm in this little local traveling league and need something to secure the cues... Any recommendations ? Thanks

QClaw is a good quality product. Only complaint, it would be nice to have a clip, which could be attached to a case, so I don't keep forgetting them at the pool hall.

Cue It Up is a clip-on the table cue holder. Works great and clips to your case when done playing.

Great product. I have the 5 cue holder and it fits where a jump cue should go in my case. On league nights when there are people standing around everywhere and lots of cues around the table it makes a good, reliable parking spot for me and my friends. At the local bar where there aren't great places to rest a cue near the challenge table it provides a safer place to put my cues than leaning up against something.

I like it better than clips because it can just sit on any 90 degree angle, regardless of depth so it works just about everywhere.

Its a little heavy so you will feel the difference in your case but the pay off in protecting your cues feels worth it to me.

So you think a 5 cue version would work better than say a 2 cue holder ? Heavier more secure?

i have the 5 at my house, i loved it. i had a 2 also, that i carried with me, but like mentioned above....it got left at the pool hall one night and never saw it again.

That rubber shelf liner that you put in shelves in your kitchen does the trick pretty well too, and you can fold it up and put it in your case.

I would suggest getting the size you will use. It is kind of heavy, so a 2 or 3 cue model might work best. If you want a spot for others, go with the 5 cue model.

A couple of friends have the 2 cue version and it seems to work just as well. It also fits into cases easier. I have the 5 cue so I could also provide cue parking for league teammates. It's usually full every league night even though I'm only using two spots.

The Q Claw is great but be sure to write your name on it because I'll bet that sooner or later you'll walk off and leave it. It happens all the time. Your teammates will appreciate it if you get the five position model.

Agreed. Actually, what we joked about at league one night where there were 3 or 4 in the same room was that we'd get finger nail polish from the women in our lives and use it to put some odd color in the "Q" logo on the top.

"Hey, that's my Q claw. I can tell because the Q is 'Kiss Me' red."

Don't need a clip. I wrapped a generous strip of self-adhesive-backed Velcro "hook" material around an area of my case, then secured the counterpart self-adhesive-backed "loop" material to the claw. Works great.

FWIW With regard to having to remember something that you must bring or do several times a week, just get a piece of 1/8 inch thick unbreakable plastic about the size of a business card (or slightly smaller) round-off the edges and drill a hole big enough to fit on whatever ring holds your car/house keys. Keep the reminder/annoyance always there. You'll never forget whatever the plastic reminds you of again.

Similarly works circumstantially for other "memory-jogging" needs when placed somewhere on your morning coffee-maker where you can't make the coffee without seeing the object you've created for reminder purposes.

I have the Q-Claw, the Kamui cue holder, and the Q-Clip. Each of them has their advantages and drawbacks.
My all around favorite is the Q-Clip. It clips on the table and holds your cues in a dense foam ring area that pretty much prevents any accidents unless you pull on the cue to pop it out. The disadvantage is because it is a pressure clip, it doesn't do well on very thick tables and wont work at all on a table with a 'lip' underneath (like a banquet table). It also is less effective on 'normal' height tables because the cues are thicker at that lower point, it is designed to be used on a bar table height surface. You can also clip it to your case and they are plastic and weigh almost nothing. They can be found at http://www.q-clip.com (no affiliation)
The Q-claw is great for the tables that you cant use the clip on, and I have the 5 slot one so I can share. Disadvantages are the size and weight, and if it is in a high traffic area accidents can still happen, in fact this weekend at our regional tournament we had several close calls because of the shallow divots.
The Kamui cue holder is great for those times when you have to play at a table away from your main team's area, but they need to be just a bit heavier. The fact you can throw it in your pocket is a huge plus though, I wouldn't recommend it for a 'main' cue holding solution.

qclaw is great. use a permanent marker to write nameandphone number on it. i use 2 cue holder, team captain has 5 cue holder. easy to forget it.

I have a 2 and a 3 queclaw. I think the are a good product and reasonably priced. They're heavy so they provide a fairly solid place to support your cues. I would recommend them but there are other alternatives that probably work just as well.

I have the Qclaw and it works but I also prefer the Porper because it's a cue holder and not just a rest, and it allows you to store the cues perfectly vertical. Every week at league you can hear at least one cue hit the floor, having fallen or getting bumped out of its rest. I use the 5 cue Porper for league so my teammates can jump in. The other nice thing about it is it will hold my jump cue - I just stick it in one of the slots butt up. The Qclaw will work in just about any situation though whereas the Porper might not always be able to connect to the most convenient surface. Not a problem with my league which is in-house every week and works on all the counters around the place. The Proper is bulkier, especially the5 cue version but I simply leave it in my car. When it's just me at a tournament I use the Qclaw or the 2 cue Porper, both fit in my case pocket. I've no problem using a rest at tournament matches because my cues are in my case unless I'm actually playing a match rather than being out all night like at league.

It basically boils down to personal preference. I initially brought a Q-claw, but was concern about the weight. I have tried the clip, porper clamp, moose head thingy, a lighter silicone version of the q-claw, and kept going back to Q-claw. Has no moving parts, and in a jiffy the 2 cue model can support 4. The weight never really became an issue.

I have a 2 cue model in my locker, and 5 cue model when I used to share out with my teammates.

As others stated, the color choices are limited so you'll see a few in the poolhall. I personalized mine by labeling it with a sharpie.
