I just checked the Results link that I provided again and it's good. The Video Stream, no idea as I haven't seen it yet. It's 6am right now in Qatar, so I don't expect anything until 10am their time. 4hrs from now, we will know as game starts at 10am.

You ain't kiddin', brother!! Piss poor seating, no food, multiple stops...and the random hard right bank. I'd rather drive, to be honest!!:thumbup:

I'll drop you a line sometime tonight, bro. I should know for sure by then.

Are the top philippine players playing? I saw the usual guys, Manalo, Pulpul, de Luna and Gabica. Who was the defending champ in this tour?

Nobody from Puyat stable. Dennis Orcullo is there, and some of the house instructors from the middle-east region, Calasang, Joven

Shane VanBoening

It seems Shane is the only American to make the trip to Qatar. I believe this tourney is an invitational and I'm sure more Americans were asked to go.
Assuming no other major events are conflicting with this tourneys dates why do you suppose there aren't a couple more from the USA there?

Someone had mentioned 1st place is $150k but I was unable to find this on the QBSF website. It was also mentioned that Dennis Orcollo was the defending champ but his 2008 earnings according to the AZ player list are $99,942, which obviously wouldn't represent a 150k win. Perhaps there is more money in the tourney this year?

Lastly, has anyone been able to successfully watch the stream?

Good luck to Shane, and thank you for any answers.

the total prize money is 150k. First prize is 40k. Orcullo lost is second match, so he is out of the tournament...

a bit offtopic sorry but isnt Quatar open the first major event SVB will play with a Cuetec?

Nice matchup... Special note on SVB vs Yang...

Of the Last 16, 8 (Asian), 6 (European), 1 (American) and 1 Middle Eastern.

Anyone having luck with the streaming?

The stream works in Internet Explorer 8.

After opening the link you have to install a plugin to get the stream working.

I am on IE 8 and it ask for Login/Pass: Qoc/12345, then it's just a window with nothing in it. Do you have the link of the plug-in?
