I think they showed Filler/Alnar on the stream, but that was a Stage 1 match.

While it is possible they will show Manas vs Maciol rather than Filler vs Szewczyk on the stream table, the latter, at least on paper, rates as one of the best matchups of the entire 2026 pool year. I hope they don't snub the fans by showing the lesser match. Of course, we know they might, as we're down to three Europeans and one Asian.

Maciol is hard to figure. He's had very good success in non-WNT events. He won the Qatar Open a few years ago. He's finished in the final four of the China Open a few times. He's had a lot of high finishes in Predator-WPA events.

By and large, he's been mediocre in WNT major events. He did get to the semis of the European Open in 2025 and the quarters of the same event in 2024. But aside from that. he's had a lot of 64-128 finishes.

I'd say his 10ball break is better than his 9ball break. He is a somewhat streaky player, but when he's on, no title lies beyond his potential grasp.

i share that hope. depending on race length they could show both semis on the tv table.. but i would be content will filler v woj

The matches are both at 12:00 noon Qatar time on two different tables. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they show both.
 
Very high quality stuff here. Woj's outrageous jump in of the seven ball at 6-5 ahead looked like it might be the defining shot of the tournament, but he gave it right back when he failed to reach the pocket on a paper-thin cut of the nine ball in Rack 14. Anyone's match now.
 
that's gonna sting. poor wojciech. it's the worst miss i've seen in a crucial match like this

Geez, what a strange finish. Simple error by Woj denies us a double hill match, and Filler wins 11-9. On to the finals vs Manas.

Filler vs Manas. It's a promoter's dream!
 
Filler really outshot Szewczyk, missing just once (on a rail-first 1-ball in Game 16). He broke dry 6 times in a row and scratched on another. But Szewczyk missed 9 times (plus once on a long jump).

No B&Rs for Filler; 2 for Szewczyk.
