Que Perfect Cues

Hi,

Has anyone ever played with one of these cues? I went to their homepage at http://www.queperfect.biz and there are pictures of Efren holding one of their cues. The website states that Efren specifically requested a cue from them and the cue was just recently completed. Just wanted to see if anyone had any opinions on their hit/quality - Thanks in advance for the replies.

Can't say that I have ever shot with one, and that is the strangest picture of Efren I have ever seen.

The glasses Efren's wearing looks like they are to protect his eyes from his recent laser surgery - which would have been around mid-late November.

Don't know how much you all read on the site, but, interestingly, he seems to believe that he has "oval inlay©" and, "circle inlay©" cornered. Guess that leaves only triangle, square and diamond for all other cuemakers!

I meant strange as in "that doesn't look like Efren to me", not "he looks goofy in glasses".

Whether Efren uses his cue or not, I have little tolerance for that kind of cuebuilder long-winded egotistical windbag spiel. I prefer to see a cuebuilder post a few pics of his work with a simple description, and then show a speck of humility, as ER does after any great runout.

Blah, blah, blah.....
Efren won the 1994 US Open with a $14 Philippine-made Jessie cue.
Used that to win 3 8-ball titles and used that to win the WPC world 9, alternating with the $550 Judd JT1.
We'll see Efren here in January. Let's see if he still uses that cue.

I believe all que perfect cues come with a 314 shaft, I talked to this fellow a couple years ago, seemed nice enough, untill he acused me of being someone else??? Not sure what the deal was there..

Reyes is no longer using the Judd.

He is playing with a cue called the Efren"Bata"Reyes edition cue, which is exclusive from Cosmo Sports of Japan. It is a replica of the cue made in the Phillopine which Efren used to use.

Here is a link: http://cosmo-tokyo.co.jp/

Click the box with Reyes's pictures, you will go to a page with a movie which shows Reyes trying out the prototype of the Bata edition that was built for him. You may be interested to see what kind of shots he took to try out a cue.

I believe this is the cue he used to win the IPT. It is not 60", it is only 59" long.

the last time i saw Efren playing(IPT), he was using the Judd he borrowed(?) from Joey's friend.(ebony points with ivory inlays)

QP's cues are prized very high.. plus he keeps on saying that he's the only CM here in the Philippines which has all the rare hardwoods.. plus he trademarked the ER which we all know belongs to mr. Edwin Reyes.

just my opinion

(I'm no expert in cues)

When I met Reyes in Japan in Nov he was shooting with the "Bata" cue; however, as I looked at the pictures of the cue he was using in the IPT, I realized that it was one with a wood to wood joint. As far as I know, all the "bata" series cue feature a metal joint.
I suppose he went back to a Judd. I am not sure.
Thank you.
Richard

i think he was using tha "bata" series cue as a break cue... i think i saw a pic of it in his chair while he is shooting... i also saw him break with the "bata" cue in one of the SM asian 9-ball tour.:)

He did the exact same thing to me a couple of years ago.
I had no clue what he was talking about so I never corresponded with him again.

If you are wondering if this cue will make you shoot like Efrin....please.
It's just a cue no matter how you slice it. What works for Efrin might not neccessarily work for the next guy.

Buy what you do good with and put the marketing industry out of business. Be your own player. Don't be a sheep.;)

i shoot with one

my shooting cue is made by Ronnie Powell. his cues hit very well, and they are truly custom. the inlays have hand cut pockets, and they're weighted and balanced without a bolt. also, you can get one in almost any length. im 6'1" and mine is 64", and i will never go back to a "standard" length cue no matter who made it.:D

Ronnie used to use predator 314 shafts on his cues, but has made his own low deflection shaft called the "prodigy". it is a traditional one piece shaft made out of very old growth maple. i do not know what he does to decrease deflection, but i feel it outperforms the predator. they are not snow white, and when held next to other shafts it makes them feel like Balsa. one is 22 grain lines per inch, the other is 30.

i ordered my cue in December '04. he told me in personal emails in april '05 that he was making a cue for Efren, after i already paid half months before.

Jim Wych also plays with a QP.

did you people think he just found a filipino with no teeth and tried to pass him off as Efren Reyes.:D he got the cue like a week ago and half of you are saying it's BS cause he hasn't used it in a tournament yet. ha,ha,ha.

i guess we'll have to see if he uses it, he has an Annie O that just sits in his case as far as i know.

When I talked to Jim in NY and in Vegas he was playing with his Richard Black again, when did you talk to him blueballs?

never, i just know he was playing with a QP. he also mentioned that Ronnie made good cues on tv. i think it was while he was announcing for the 2004 World Championship during the final match between Alex and Chang.
