Good morning from the Philippines! The inaugural JBET.com Queens Cup with OB as the official cues kicks off today. This will be a much anticipated Ryder Cup style 3 day event between a team from the west versus a team from the east. The west team consists of Kelly Fisher, Jasmin Ouschan, Allison Fisher and Vivian Villarreal. The east team consists of Ga Young Kim, Si Ming Chen, Rubilen Amit and Pei Chen Tsai. The schedule of play for today starting at 2pm local time will be as follows:
4 on 4: Amit, Kim, Tsai, Chen vs Fisher, Fisher, Ouschan, Villarreal
Doubles: Ga Young Kim & Rubilen Amit vs Allison Fisher & Jasmin Ouschan
Doubles: Kelly Fisher & Vivian Villarreal vs Si Ming Chen & Pei Chen Tsai

The weak link is Vivian, and I wish she would get a new routine after 20 years of raising her finger and twirling it in the air that's suppose to mean tornado. I beat her even at Fatso's in Tampa 10 years ago on a big table. I might have been a "B+" on a 9' back then. Probably more like a "B". Johnnyt
Yes she is the weakest, but she is pretty entertainer.
Many members on here wanted Matchroom to add women to the MC or have a MC for women. I think this Queen Cup is going to take off with viewers. Maybe matchroom will re think having a men's and women's MC. Would be great. At this time the only one from the U.S that could compete at top tier women pro would be Monica Webb. Johnnyt

Decided to do a little research on the Min Table in use for this event. Unfortunately, having a hard time getting onto their website. I did find, however, that the model being used is their stadium model, which is a ball return table. This table was also used for the 4th Asian Indoor Games. The Stadium also comes as a heated billiard table (3-cushion is actually much more popular in Korea than pool).
Min si also the same company that owns/makes Takini cloth. However, for whatever reason, the Queens Cup is using the same Andy Cloth that was used for the 10-ball tourney.
Oh, Table Min is a South Korean company.

Cool format, I like it and the girls are having fun too. Another successful production by Dragon. Hats off to Cindy Lee who makes it all come together.
Over here media coverage is through the roof, hours of live TV every day and major stories in every newspaper. Rubilen made the cover of the Philippine Star when she won the Ten Ball. This week she's a national hero.
