Question about a cue maker?

I have a cue that I have owned for about ten years and it is a Lowe. I have run into a few Meucci cues that look almost identical to this cue. I was not sure of the branding of the cue or if it is worth hanging on to. I paid about three hundred for it ten years ago. Please if anybody has any insight as to what i have please let me know.
 
Does not look like a Meucci, although it could be. Whoever sold it to you for $300 did all right though. My advice, wait until you meet someone named Lowe.

Actually if you were knowledgeable the meucci model number it is almost identical to is an e-6 out of the european series meucci. I know that Ted Lowe was a very famous european snooker player who retired the same year I purchased this cue. If your not gonna be of any help please keep your comments to yourself. Thank you to anybody who has any real insight for posting it for me.

No need for anyone to get hostile. I am sure it was just a wisecrack that meant no harm.

It does appear to be exactly or similar to the E-6. It very well could have been made by Meucci for this Lowe person, who knows. The "Lowe" stamped on the cue is very likely the original owner's name. Or it could even be a "model series" line of cues for this guy you are talking about.

"TRY" contacting Meucci directly as they may have more insight to offer you. I say "try" to contact them because you'll be in rare company if you actually make any headway.

This post probably isn't much help to you either, so I won't post anymore on the topic.

that is deffinatly a meucci.. not question there.. although.. Lowe could be almost anybody.. there is a good chance it belongs to a famous player.. but there is also a good chance that it belongs to a normal joe...

it doesnt say Meucci on the buttcap?

if it dont, then it leads me to believe that the cue was refinished when then name Lowe was added therefore loosing the meucci logo..

usually when Meucci made a cue for a specific player, he put the players name on the buttcap in white lettering the same way he would have put his logo onthe cue..

I'm not saying Ted Lowe never played snooker - we all have - but he was only ever famous as a snooker commentator. He was the BBC's voice of snooker since forever. I think you're getting mixed up with Len Ganley. He never played either.

This cue was purchased new from a dealer here in Louisiana. The people who were working at the time I purchased it had no idea what it was. I Loved the color scheme and had to have it. The cue doesn't say Meucci anywhere on it. But side by side it is identical to the e-6. The shaft doesn't have any dot on it but does look like a meucci ferrule. Getting anybody knowledgeable on the phone from Meucci would take an act of congress. I was just curious if anybody out there had any idea about it. Thanks to everybody for their post and sorry for getting upset early in the post.
 
I used to have a private lable line built for me by Viking call Sceptre. Someone who sells a lot of cues like Larry Lowe for instance may have had Meucci build a private lable line for him. I will try to rmember to ask Larry next time time I hear from him.
