I would have to agree with may of the people that have already posted that having an unmoderated board would be a bad idea

There is already a forum where you can go to trash talk all you want to - Jim Brennan started it - it's uncensored - go - have fun - jbideas its not about trash talk there. and telling people to go there for that reason is just not playing nice.
I prefer a somewhat more civil environment.
Umm this is not a very civil post by you sir.
We used to have something like that. It was called RSB or Rec.Sport.billiard newsgroup. To tell you the truth, it got out of hand! I think it's a dead spam group now.
I'm a Vietnam vet sailor, who's owned 2 bars and 2 poolrooms and spent over 20 years "on the road". I've seen and heard it all! The internet changed all that! I guarantee that the woofing, insults, profanity that you'd have on the net, if it isn't kept "in check" would easily be tenfold what you'd hear in even the seediest of pool rooms or bars. The "Keyboard Commandos" hide behind screen names and feel invulnerable. They would never say the same things "face-to-face" that they spew out anonomously, at least not more than once!
People have gotten used to being at least civil here in AZ. They may even have improved vocabulary and computer skills here.I think it would be a "step back" to have an unmoderated forum.

I cuss a bit (too much, perhaps), I like violent and smutty movies (and porn) and I like to think I have a sense of humor.
Still, I don't think there is a need for a wild-west section of AZB. There is already too much crassness and belligerence on threads here in the main forum.
Exactly a new area would pull them away from the main forum hence cleaning it up.
What would the point be to having an area where people could add in whatever vulgarity they want in their personal attacks? Don't think it would happen? Think about the possibilities of a no-censor policy on the Dippy-Do-Dah thread, or the CTE threads... How about the APA threads? And lets not even start on NPR. Those threads that I mention, and countless more, already get over-charged and out of hand rather quickly, and often get quite personal. The moderators have a tough time letting it go enough with going too far. What do you think it would look like with no censorship or moderation?
Fredom?
What would that serve? If you wanna write poop, there are plenty of places on the far-ranging internets to write poop.
I don't wanna write poop...I want a place for adults to go and talk freely
I don't bring my 6 year old to a pool hall because of the language
I like the main forum .. I like it censored... I like pool being promoted to all ages...
But there are times I like adult to adult conversations
As I see it it would help to clean up the main areas we already have by getting adult conversation out of it or if a thread started to get out of hand they could take it to the other room. Plus out of the 45 channels I mentioned earlier here. I have never opened or posted on the "US Bar box championship" that area or channel just doesn't interest me SO I DON'T GO THERE. Try putting that mentallity to a new "adult pool conversation" area if it offends you don't click your mouse on it. But at least give others the option or the outlet.
Thanks guys for the inputs
As usual, I guess I was looking at this wrong I was trying to keep the integrity of the programing content we currently have on AZ billiards like ABC, CBS, and NBC just adding some new stations like HBO and Showtime.
But if you want to see those stations you have to go to another cable provider (somewhere else on the internet) and if you want to watch any of those shows it won't be with your friends here.
But hey.. I liked Leave it to beaver or The Andy Griffith Show even more so
I love straight pool and in the 50's that game was real popular.
So AZ billiards "Rock around the Clock"
Just one suggestion you might rename this site
AG billiards (A-Alpha G-rating)
Its not really A to Z your missing a few letters like R and X
So Golly Gee Wiz Everybody have a great day and forget my stupid suggestion

John, behave. Do it consistently. If you do, people will forget your past behavior - most of us are very forgiving and really want to see you turn over a new leaf.
