I justs recently purchased a cue and it had a G2 tip on it. I like how it plays so I was wanting to get a little more feedback on them as far as how bad they mushroom, I've used a lot of tips over the years and don't really have a favorite so i'm open to trying something new.

If installed and burnished properly, they won't mushroom.

G2's are my personal tip of choice (I use a G2 Hard)...

Awesome tips.

I have G2 mediums on a couple of my favorite cues. Easy install and after 2 months no maintenance has been needed. I'll be ordering more G2 tips for sure!

I use the G2 hards & I've never had to trim them after install and burnishing, no mushrooming at all. Simply the best tip I've ever used, I believe better than even the original Moori's.

The medium and hard do not mushroom at all (or at least so little you don't notice).
The soft does mushroom slightly but again not so much it is a real problem and
definitely less then most other tips of similar softness.

Thanks guys. The one I have been using is getting kind of small and will need to be replaced sometime in the not to distant future and I really like the way it plays so not having used one before I didn't know about what to put back on the shaft. I have used a lot of different tips over the years (lepro, elkmaster, tiger, moori, and i'm currently using ultraskins but like i said I don't really have a favorite.

fwiw
if you are using a g2 soft (the medium was too hard for me)
try moori soft or medium

I think the G2 tips are phenomenal!! I've been trialing tons of tips over the past year or so and G2 is by far my favorite overall. The mediums are the best choice for me as far as maintenance and performance. The softs are nice too but are a hair too soft and more maintenance than the meds.

JMO.......😀
