Hey guys I received my first cue right before Christmas season and after inspecting it and playing with it I had a couple of questions that hopefully someone here can answer. First of this is my first cue, the tip of the new McDermott wasnt smooth it was all rough and scuffed up is this normal/good? (it definitely holds chalk but it doesnt have a smooth hitting surface) Second if you look at the pin in the butt section you can see glue in between the inner and outer layer of wood. It is not that noticeable but you can easily see it, the wood inside isnt flush wood to wood there is visible glue in-between. Can anyone tell me if this is fine or should I send it in to get checked? My friend ordered a Viking cue and it didnt have any of these problems, the tip was smooth and there was no visible use of glue anywhere. I thought the quality of the two brands was similar. The cue does hit good, but I am not sure if it is just because its not a house cue, which I always used before. Thanks in advance for any help.
