question about Nine ball (Corner ball on break)

Today I was in the poolhall.. and some of my friends was playing 9balls.. and he was pocketing the corner ball every single time... then he was so happy and cheers and said to us ""(Did you see! I make the wing ball every single time)!!!""

Then i was suprised.. because I kind of swear that i hear billy incardona & danny & grady when commentating 9ball matches they say "Win ball" and not "Wing ball"..

then I told my friend "Hey man, it's Win ball, not wing ball"

then another guy talked to us and said "No its wing ball because it goes into the wing" lol. then i laughed here.. and i said "Guys It's WIN BALL because whoever the guy pocketing it.. he have more chance of winning the game.. so therefore they call it a WIN BALL" and not "Wing ball"

then a 4th guy came in and said no man its "wing ball" then i was laughing.. Okay.. i know it might be a redicoulos question but we bet on it.


they are 4 men betting,, and im only 1... so 4 VS 1... they say "wing ball" and i say "win ball"

so plz pool players tell me... who is right? me or them??

its actually called the "wean ball" because slowly, but surely, the players are being weaned off the ability to make this consistent ball on the break with the gradual switch to 10 ball.

Technically you did not lose the bet...I would say you won the bet.

Since if you really look at the word...WING.....before they pronoucne the complete WING they are saying WIN....(G)

So Technically they did say WIN at some point during the pronunciation of the complete WING statement.

It is called [wing] ball, but if i was you i would check the rack!! as he might do be frezzing it, if so it is easy to make it in corner pocket!!!
