Question About Schon Weight Bolt Thread

Does anyone know what Schon Cues uses as a thread size on their weight bolts.

Also, I see a allen head set screw that I can't get backed out, I am thinking of dried glue or foreign material in the weight bolt thread is preventing me from installing a new weight bolt or removing the allen set screw that is deeper into the butt of the cue.

I would believe that the allen head set screw and the weight bolt would be the same thread size ??

Schon doesnt use a weight bolt. The bolt in the picture by the bumper is it. Schon refers to it as an assembly bolt. The do make aluminum, steel, and brass ones to change the weight a little either way.

Thanks for the reply. Someone put one in this cue though. Do you know the thread size of the weight bolt??

3/8-16 is the thread I think.

Docs Bohemian Cues out of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. I gave Keith a call and he did confirm that at times, you can run into a allen head set screw in A Schon Cue for weight. It does not leave much room for the butt cap bolt/weight bolt I guess.

With this information and the suggestion in the post, indeed the thread is 3/8 x 16 nc thread as I took the bolt with and found the nut that threaded onto it.

I bought a tap and cleared the threads. I cut the bolt down to just under an inch and it locked up good and the new bumper from Schon looks good.

Thanks For all your help today. I've had my eye open for a Purple Heart SP-34 going on 21 years and I was not going to shoot with it until completed !!!
Heading down stairs now to see if the cue lives up to my expectations.
