Question about Southwest shaft

I am preparing to sell an original shaft off of my 1989 S.W. and before I post it was hoping to get some opinions on what it's worth/what I should ask for it. I know that laurie gets $250 + $85 for an ivory ferrule (which mine has). I checked ebay for reference and found none for sale. I was just concerned about possibly posting too high a price and then getting roasted for it on here. Thanks.
 
Thats A Tough Question. Is The Shaft All Original? Is It Straight? Does It Have Common Ringwork On It? If It's Not Original, Who Did The Work? What Is The Diameter At The Ferrule? What Does It Weigh?

All Those Things Considered, I Don't See Many Guys Paying More Than About 200 For It If Everything Is Original And Straight.

Somehow ivory ferruled SW shaft is not as popular as others imho. If it came with the original yellowish micarta I think the price would be higher. My guess is $150~$200 if the condition is good.

I agree ... I'd be interested in yellowed micarta SW shaft. One of my three shaft is ivory ferrule .. and it stays in the bag as a third backup :eek:
 
may i know if SW shafts from all the 3 eras... (DPK, JF, Post JF) are intermatchable? i have a early JF looking for a extra shaft..

NO, NOT ALL THE SHAFTS ARE INTERCHANGEABLE. THEY USED A FEW DIFFERENT THREAD PITCHES THROUGH THE YEARS.
