you know,i just here for three hours and watch a ton of stuff on you tube which was awesome,trust me,its amazing.YOU TUBE ROCKS.why cant i have the right to watch anything on here PERIOD.INTERNET IS THE FUTURE.and you dont like it tooooooooo frickin bad!thats why you pay huge $$$ to see your favorite artist LIVE now adays.thats why you see people getting busted by dateline n.b.c. on internet pedophiles.this is a free world nowadays .if im interested about something i can go on the internet and look it up!(NOT FOR THAT OBVIOUSLY)

Okay, that's cool. We have differing views. So be it. Let me just be clear on something... If Accu-Stats goes out of business because their matches get out in the open and available for free download because Pat can't afford to sue the entities hosting the storage, then I don't want to hear any of you that posted to this thread go boo-HOO...

Your argument holds some weight in the music, film, and television industries, but Accu-Stats meets the needs of a niche market. In case you were not aware, Pat used to cover the Sands Regency tournaments also, but no longer does so. His is an expensive business to run, and if his work is given away for free, then we will suffer for we will have no product at all.

And as far as you being "tired of hearing what I think is right and wrong"..... Well, heh heh.. Noone ASKED you to come read my thread. You can leave any ole' time you want, kemisobe.

1)accu-stats maybe a NICHE market for now but this is the internet,I will benefit either way ,sorry.
2)you should try to be alittle open minded as to what people are saying on here,instead of what YOU have to think.
3)and as for you and what you do,i dont feel any remorse,cause my nefew is in the canadian army and he will be going to afganastan in the near future to defend WHAT YOUR GOVERNMENT THINKS IS RIGHT!.(which any brain dead m.f. in this world knows its wrong).

Case in point, your boy Nick Berg. What a lot of people don't realize is that Nick Berg was almost certainly working WITH the jihadis. He was stopped in Iraq by some of our soldiers, and was found to be carrying anti-Israeli propaganda both in Arabic and English.

That video where he got his head sawed off? He looked pretty calm and resolute at first, right? Until they started cutting off his head. Then he started yelling. My theory is that his jihadi handlers told him it was going to be a propaganda film, and that they were going to do the usual propaganda speech about holding an American hostage.

He probably thought he was "one of the boys fighting evil America".. Right up until the blade sunk in..

The liberals I have met have said the fundamentalists hate us MORE now because of our actions in the past few years.

Yeah.. like they could hate us more than ramming a few planes into a few skyscrapers, to kill a few thousand people.

Youtube is chaniging the media weather we agere to like or not, Tower Records on Sunset Strip in Hollywood is closed, that place was "The" record/DVD store that set the standard by which all others were measured. Were in a great time of change, I for one have admired Mr.Flemmings work and effort for many years, sure he made a living off his videos, and thats cool, but did he play Efren a bonus for the zig zag hill shot?, he sold a ton of videos because of Efrens shot. I bet Efren signed away his rights in a release before it was filmed. Too bad for Mr.Reyes, if thats the case-its private business, perhaps he did.

Times are changing, and if Mr. Flemming wants to survive he needs to adjust his business model to adapt to the new era. I have never had beef with him he has/is serveing our sport well-I dont know if he compensates the players or pimps them out that isnt my point, my point again is its a time of change and its up to him to adapt to that,

My take on it is Youtube is a great advertizement for the videos because they are trailors at best.

I'm not putting down Mr.Flemming( actually the oppsite) or the players he videos and sells I wish them all the best, I hope Youtube dosent ruin it, It might with out a change in the current business model or it might be the best advertizing he has ever had, time will tell

i haven't seen many videos on youtube that are from accu-stats but i found this one the other night from the accu stats 8 ball tourney, i remember thinking this would be illegal to post on youtube and possibly azb wouldn't want members posting them here either:

i'm not exactly sure about copyright laws but a similar thing happens with ufc fights, after about every ufc people will post fights on you tube and either someone reports them or the ufc will complain and they will be removed(same goes for older fights as well), but i believe it is fine to show highlights of fighters or highlights of a full event


i think highlights of great shots or of certain matches/players/tourneys from accu-stats would be fine and good advertising but posting complete games/matches would be illegal, but u could argue that both would be great advertising and could bring in new customers, it would be their choice

Their main goal is to prevent uploading of pornographic/offensive material. To that end, they "might" view a 1-2 second snippit of each film. More likely is they both use software and actual people to scan the video titles.

Yeah, I really see "Efren v Busta" getting caught by the YouTube filters, either software or human. Rrrrrrrrright.

Furthermore, many tech people have noted that the whole YouTube membership is a very "anonymous" affair. YouTube doesn't realy "know" it customers. If someone DOES upload protected content, the biggest thing that can happen to them is YouTube cancels their account. Then they open up another the one in an hour, change the names of the videos, and reupload.

Seriously, before you people comment on the YouTube legality/business practice issues, you need to read what the tech industry is saying about it. It is just a matter of time before YouTube loses a MAJOR lawsuit. A lot of people are calling YouTube "Google's Waterloo".

Viacom HAS to sue YouTube or get sued by it's own advertisers. And if Viacom decides to go all the way, they WILL win. It's a no brainer. 1 billion dollars could be a drop in the bucket. YouTube has already done a LOT of damage to a few big shows on TV.

I just ordered five videos from Accu-stats, and I have seen probably every pool video in existence on youtube. If anything, these videos are a perfect advertisement to buy the matches or buy other pool matches. I just bought Mike Sigel's 150 and out partly because of the sneak peek on youtube.
