Question adout skill level

Impossible To Say....

What skill level would an A,B,C,or D be? I know A is best but is this pro level?

There are about thirty, might be a slight exaggeration, levels of A player, so it is difficult to say... There are definitely A+ players out there that can give most pros a run for their money on any given day, but in the long haul, the pro is a pro for a reason.....

I think they should reclassify people (yes, I know that they won't)
3 ball ghost (level 3) up to 12 ball ghost (level 12 = touring pro). That would instantly give you an idea of your level...

For example, I'm a 6 ball ghost guy (I am consistently beating the 6 ball ghost right now). :)

This is a pretty good idea except for that in the upper ranks of the pros, kicking, safety play, and 2 way shots are critical; these count against you in the ghost game. ;)

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm more interested in the A-D rating system than APA. Can one of you guys please flesh out for me how you'd define a D, D+, C- and C player?

Do these rating systems only apply to 9 ball, or 8 ball as well?

A top pro could probably give an A player 2-1 on the games. That is, if Archer or Reyes or Souquet played the typical A player a race to 10, the A player should start with 5 to make it fair. While the other thread has some good guidelines for the ABCD ratings, I think you'll find that they very quite a bit from place to place -- there is no real standard.
