Question for all cuebuilders

Dont know if anyone would be willing to do this or not but thought I would try it out. I like to try new things and have fun and this would definately be fun. I would also sell this cue "if it was worth a chit" and donate all the money to a worthwhile cause.

I am wanting to build my 1st, 2 piece cue. I have a really nice McDermott house cue I have cut in half to start this process..

If someone would be willing to donate collars, buttcap, pin, a shaft, tap....enough for me to make 1, 2 piece cue, I will do this, take pictures of the process and post them on here. When this cue is finished, I will send it to whoever donates the items to me to see how jacked up the cue is. If the cue is halfway good, all I ask is you sell the cue, and donate the money to a worthy organization which we will decide on. Or send it to me, and I will sell it and donate the money.

I am not trying to gain anything out of this, just experience, and fun.

If you feel you would like to take part in this and I am sure, get a good laugh send me a pm or post on here.

And the more I think about it....I would pay for everything as well....dont wanna sound like a cheap-azz..

Either 1 person can send everything...or it can come from multiple builders..

I will still sell the cue and donate the money....if its up to me, it will go to something to do with Veterans

I don't have anything to spare, as I am just getting started, but your idea is nice.

I prefer St. Judes Hospital. Those kids are fighting for a chance to be old enough to be Veterans.

I agree....That is such a great cause..

I wish I could trade places with any of them kids. I wish they would just be able to enjoy a happy, normal life......them children are True Blessings though!

I will send you a 5/16-18 SS pin and CNC insert, enough mat'l to do shaft and butt joint collars, a premade butt cap and a bumper that attaches with a wood screw.

You will eventually need a tap of your own so you are on your own there.

If the cut off shaft is not usable, find another house cue with an acceptable shaft, cut it off, and use that. If needed I will also send you an unthreaded fiber ferrule if the shaft you are using has a bad ferrule.

Regards,
Stoney
