One more question, cut and paste where Larry ever said he was great, you said that, he never said that. Others say that about him, Larry never does say that about him self.

Bopper I unerstand what you are saying, but the players that you have named have tryed 9ball. I have never seen larry in the Trick shot magic magic in baltimore and its been going on for a few years now. I would like to see what he has won in the past 5 years or so and under what players were in the tournamnet. I dont want any beef with larry I just would like to know what he has won to back up all the things that he has said.

Most of his records occured during the early to mid 90's. He has not played any body in the last 4 years that I know of. I do hear he is going back out on tour next month so that is about to change.
He has posted his entire history on the chat site www.billiards-pool.net, go in and at the top open the tutorial sections. All of your questions are answered there, it is a small book. You want to know, go read it, I have and I know. Go read it, then get off the guy's back OK. We are all sick of you stalking and ragging him on ever post, do something different, we are all bored with this sick act of whatever you think you are doing here. If you want to rag the guy if you do read this and I know you will not, take it off of this board. Take it to him personally. We are tired of seeing this, give it a rest.

No dummy here. I did not know he was hurt, and to tell the truth I dont care. I just think he talks alot of noise for just being a trick shot player, after all who he cares about trick shots? I think you have it all wrong about me I dont bash larry infact i have not written a word about him for about 2 weeks but i see in a few of his post my name was said. I dont have time for old man"s games ive seen people like him in my lifetime They win a few things here and there and then all of the sudden they think they are god! I"ve said this before and i"ll say it again I dont like or seek out trouble, Larry just has a problem with people who have diffrent opinions.

Hi Fast,
I read on one of your posts that the better players play with harder tips? Why is that? Especially since with a softer tip one can get more spin and less miscueing. Would you be so kind as to explain that to me? I'm really out of my depth here. I have an Elkmaster on my shaft ( please don't laugh). I used to play with a LePro..but I miscued a lot. With the Elkmaster, that has almost disappeared.
One more question. I can normally make cut shots, but when I try to play position by applying english to the cue ball, I am happy to see that the cue ball more or less ends up where I want it to ( after impacting a rail), which is something big for a rank amatuer like me. However, playing excellent position doesn't help me coz I almost ALWAYS miss the simplest of cut shots, just because I used english on the cueball. What gives?

If you rough up you tip now and then with a sandpaper file and dont break with it, chalk correctly on every shot, you should rarely mis cue if you stay within one tip of center in any direction. If you are you need a lesson on your stroke.
A soft tip does not impart more english than a hard one, it is just the opposite. The cue ball leaves the tip at impact with in 1000th of a second, where is the time to grab. A hard tip out performs a soft tip on every stroke in the game. You were on a med hard lepro, a good tip, you went very soft to the worst tip there is, elk master.
The best tip there is: Get a taislman, pig skin soft, the performance is out standing my friend, better than the Morri. Of all the great players and ball runners, Mosconi was also my favorite to watch. Every time he came to the table, you knew you might see a 200 ball run, I saw many of them from him.
He was exciting, electric.

Do you have any matches of Mr. Mosconi playing on video? I have NEVER seen this legend play seriously...only at the BCA Expo in 92. And even at his age then, he played amazingly!

Seriously, avoid soft tips, they just mushroom and go away fast. They do suck.
