Hi Jen, I thought I read somewhere some time ago that you might be collaborating with Keith for a book about his life in pool....I was just wondering if that's true and is it still in the works...? Thank you for your great participation at AZBilliards...I always enjoy reading your informative posts...

Thanks for your interest in the book. It is true we have been collaborating on producing Keith's story, and it's been a work in progress for some time now. We are both devoted to making this the best read that it can be, and it's been fun collecting data, hearing stories by word of mouth as well as reading older pool periodicals from days gone by. :p

Getting it down in print, though, has been slow-going due to Keith's tournament schedule, my work responsibilities, and a loss of enthusiasm [mostly on my end] because of a "climate," for lack of a better word, which directly impacted our pool world. Sometimes it's like two steps forward and one step backwards, and personally, I struggle a great deal with some subject matters. Keith, on the other hand, is trying to pull out all the punches!

On a good note, because of a recent happening which affected Keith financially and personally, he will be devoting more time to writing for himself in an effort to bring this baby to a close. It is my deepest hope that his book will be attractive to your "Uncle Chester" and "Aunt Dorothy," those who know nothing about pool, and, of course, to those who know everything about pool.

There is not, and never will be, another book like this one because there is not, and will never be, another Keith McCready a/k/a The California Kid a/k/a Evil a/k/a Keither with the Ether a/k/a "Grady Seasons" a/k/a Earthquake! ;)

I agree book should be the best ever

:p Knowing Keith and his unbelievable past in the pool world I agree with Jenn that this book will be unmatched provided Keith and Jenn don't "pull any punches", and tells it like it was over the past 35 years or so. I want my copy
ASAP and wish Jenn and Keith the very best in all their endeavors. :p  :p

Get to work !!

Theres tons of interest out here that would love to read it.

Not sure if Keith has a bunch of pictures or not but I always like to see
a bunch of pictures from the past in books like this one.

I would love to see a book made with nothing but pool pictures and maybe a brief comment or two about the shot. Pools past is slipping away with all the legends.

JAM, count me among the many that can't wait for this book.

I've always taken a lot of pride in how much great pool I've seen over the years, but one thing I've learned on this forum, especially from guys like Old HasBeen, Hemicudas, and Blackjack is just how much great pool I've missed.

I've gradually come to realize that, although I saw Keith play a few times when he was playing his very best, I don't know too much of his story. Yes, I know the obvious stuff, but can't wait to learn more. And so it is for me with most of the great ones that did most of their best work on the road rather than in tournament play. Few of their stories have been told, despite the fact that so many of their stories are absolutely fascinating.

Finally, JAM, I won't be satisfied unless both you AND Keith sign my copy of the book when it comes out!
