I met him in Vegas this year for the first time, but those in my circle of friends knew Bernard from times gone by.
On one evening during my memorable trip to Vegas, I found myself sitting in a bar at the Venetian, listening to Allen Hopkins and a few other players speaking with a Cigar magazine writer about pool. It was fun to hear all the war stories and tales.
Pots and Pans was there, and he interjected a word or two to the Cigar magazine writer. I cannot remember all of the particulars, but Allen quipped back at Pots and Pans with a very memorable retort. I hope the Cigar magazine writer caught it. It was priceless and right on.

That's Bunny Rogoff or Bunny the Rogue as he prefers. He still plays a mean game of pool pushing 80. Always a factor in the Seniors and Super Seniors divisions of the BCA. He is a lifetime pool hustler who still loves the game, and the players. I never heard him complain about his lot in life. His most famous line, "I'd rather be a 'has been' than a 'never was'".
