Question for Searing experts

The way I learned it, a "Searing" up on the arm means Dennis made the forearm and all those cues would of course have the "S" on the butt because Dennis made the cue. Cues Dennis made but didn't make the arm (conversions) would only have the "S" (careful of Slys) on the cap. None would have an "S" on the arm.

Kevin good point. There is only one Searing that I'm aware of that is a jump/break cue with a uni loc joint that was made out of a house cue that has the S on the butt cap and was signed. Scott Murphy used to own it back in 2006.
 
I just now remembered about starting this thread. Thanks for the replies. The reason I asked is because I saw a cue with nice even points and a Searing style S between the points.

I was tempted to offer some decent cash for it but now I'm glad I didn't.
