Question regarding tip height

i like them thin b/c they seem to play better.might be lower deflection, not for sure, but whatever it is they play better thin.

tip

Yea - it seems that most of the better players in this area always want me to put on a new tip and shave it down to where it almost looks like its ready to be replaced! They just say it plays better the lower it is...

The thinner the tip usually the harder it is. Everything compresses back to the ferrule. I have a guy that likes the WB tips down to about a 1/16th I tell him hit some with it give it back to me in like a week and i will shave her down.

Going the other direction I have seen double stacked lepro's yikes>>> Looks like a toadstool after a couple racks.

I use a formula, that I've developed, where I take the ferrule diameter & multiply that number by .33 . That answer, is how high I make the shoulder of the tip. (.512 x.33= .169) (.472 x .33=.156)...JER
