Questions about custom multicolored ferrule's?

So i got my custom cue back from a local guy here New Orleans. But i ran into a snag after a my second night playing with a new pool cue. On my second break last night my ferrule broke it seemed along one of the lines of the colors. Has anyone ever run into an issue with a custom multicolored acrylic ferrule seperating like that. Just curiouse.

Although the guy said he would fix it im not sure I want him to put another one on.

I have never seen a multicolored ferrule...in real life.

Here is an example of one. Ive seen others done so i thought it would be pretty cool. But now im second guessing it since it broke along one of the color swirls within the acrylic.

Ok cool one question though whats the durability on them vs just a standard ferrule?

I have no idea, How they work for a ferrule, I have only heard of other azer using them.

I have some acrylic pen blanks like what is on the page.

I bought them to make pocket chalkers , But I like wood better .

I've done a few of them. They are really not for serious players at all, and certainly should not be used on a break cue.

Thats all i needed to know. Thats what i was thinking the way it broke. Back to the good old white ferrule it is.
