Quiet pockets GC1

Just some info... Last week we were playing Pea Pool and the pill bottle was dropped on my GC table.
After 1/2 hour we finally found the third pea of the three that had fallen into one of the corner pockets.
The holes on the bottom of the pockets are much larger than the peas and they scattered off the floor.

I was Christmas shopping with my wife. She dragged me into one of the JoAnn fabric and craft stores.
I was looking around and saw packages of 3 inch round plastic canvas. I guess women sew on them.
There were 10 of these 3 inch discs in each package for 99 cents. They look like plastic spider webs.

I bought a package to lay a disc over each bottom hole to keep any peas dropped from falling through.
The discs work great, but I noticed something. The sound that the balls make in the pockets was gone.

The sound of balls rolling around in pockets for 2 minutes is gone. I think I've invented QUIET pockets.

Put small towels / washcloths in the pockets.

Eliminates the noise and automatic ball cleaner

That's a good idea pooladdict. The plastic canvas disc works well too.
The plastic canvas disks I bought were from a company called Darice.
Package of ten three inch discs for .99 at JoAnn fabric and craft store.

Drop pockets, I presume?

I have a ball return gc4 and I wish it was silent.

The GC3 is much louder than the GC4...

There is a few ways to minimize the clunking and thunking on the GC4 ball return and ball box. But it's not a job for just anyone.. It's helps a lot to be familiar with the GC tables ball return.

Best of luck.

I have plastic pockets on my Olhausen Grand Champion 3 (I f'ing hate the sound) and I cut 3 layers of felt and put them in the bottom of the pockets. It gave the table a "thud" rather than a plastic bucket sound.

Try it and you'll be glad you tried it.
