Pretty Sweet. Four points with 5 veneers and great inlay work. No wonder this was Willie's favorite Bushka...Enjoy!!!

thats a good one
i have been making tributes of this cue for years
this one is a little fancier
it is also as good as any or better than i have ever seen

some of you may have seen the verl horn tributes i loved so much

congrats to jerry

you really are good

Been waiting to see this one- thanks for posting, Wedge! It looks like the cue came out really well; I'm sure the customer is excited.
I was happy to assist Jerry with the veneers for this one- sending him some different blue veneers to try to match the original colors up as closely as possible. It was a pleasure working with him and a real treat to see the end result.

Thanks to Jerry for encouraging me to let on that I had a bit part in the veneer selection. I look forward to the next one!

Nice work Beau , the veneers look great!!! I have 6 of Jerry's cues and in my opinion he has the best quality cue for the money. It is hard to find anyone that makes a better value cue.

Jerry has become the guy to see for classic style tribute cues - Balabuaska, Paradise, Palmer - he does such beautiful work and he's super reliable too.

Glad You Like It

Thank you for all the postive responses on my cue. Good to pass out some cigars myself on the baby. This one presented a few challenges to Jerry Rauenzahn and myself; a lot of decisions had to be made. I think it turned out pretty well. I'll be posting some more old school cue pictures; you'll like them. A few more pics of Jerry's effort:

I'm jealous this one's not in my collection.... (<:

Very nice cue sir!! You have to love Jerry's work and uncanny ability to build about anything your heart desires.

Thank you, very high praise coming from you, as I've seen plenty of your cues as well. You're right, Jerry is superb with old school cue building.

Not typically a lover of the older style cues but this is a very attractive trubute

Also, VERY cool to see the photos of Willie's cue with a "few" shafts and a monster case...holy sh!t

Anyone got a 100k?

I could guess one of the biggest challenges was finding the original plastic George used for the gold (or something very close to it). That would be my guess on one of the challenges, as his material has not been made in a long time. I went through the same thing on one I am having made, but I lucked up BIG time and found some of the original material George used...

Great cue btw. Mosconi's Bushka was certainly one of the nicer Bushka designs...

You're correct, the gold rings in the butt sleeve were hard to match. We looked at a few plastics, and they all had glitter and waviness in them, unlike the original. Then Jerry machined some brass and showed it to me, and it was obvious that was the material to go with. Probably different from the original, but actually more the look we wanted. Thanks for looking.

The gold acrylic Rubino had some, now I think Pavlos has it. I thik I have some pics the gold acrylic. There were a few plastic shops in the NJ/NY area that serviced the acrylic rod and the marbleite catalin rods used in the day.
