Are these cuemakers really converting old sticks, or has the supply run out and they're now making titlist conversion look-alikes? Personally, I'd be happy with a look-alike. Course, i can't afford the real thing, but I do like the look of the multi-colored points from the old sticks.

I cannot speak for all cuemakers but I will speak for -R- Jerry Rauenzahn whom I have known for close to 40 years. The customer supplies the Titlist for conversion and Jerry makes it into a 2 piece cue according to the customers specifications. It is then called a Titlist conversion. If Jerry calls it a conversion it was made from a 1 piece Titlist. Here is a fine example of a Titlist that Jerry is crafting for me right now from a Willie Hoppe Titlist I sent him...by the way...very good question!

Thanks Wedge, I'm just now trying to learn about these Titlist conversions. Do you know of any other resources for information? I'd like to learn about the different varieties of these old Brunswicks that are good candidates for conversion. And anything else that I should keep my eye out for. -Thanks, George

Here is a good website. It belongs to a gentleman that posts on here under the name Tate.

Additionally, there are folks on AZ that have old 1 piece Willie Hoppe Titlists for sale. A fair price for one in good condition is in the $300 price range. You would then have to send it to a custom cuemaker to do his thing! Hope this helps.

I recently acquired this cue from the gentleman that Jerry made it for, him and I are business partners, I had to pretty much sign over my first born to get this cue lol!! But I can honestly say its one of the best cues I have ever hit with. I find myself playing just so I can hit balls with it!!!! I have another titlist that Jerry did a few years ago that pays very good too. If your want to get a titlist conversion Jerry is definitely the man!!
