Rack Girls for US Open 1 Pocket/10-Ball

I know Barry used them for the US Open several years... I think he enlisted them from the talent at Qmasters...... I think the fans enjoyed having them and they added a little bit of that little something that the ring girls add to the boxing matches......

From my understanding tho Models don't get paid much for these types of functions... I have a friend who models and goes to many of the Motorcycle trade shows and hangs out at the booths thru the week... They feed her and provide her lodging and gas but the money is almost nothing...
She does it because of the photo ops and the fact that she can add the fact that she was an Xgirl to her resume and portfolio....

I have another friend who does a calender every year for the local radio station..... The shoot takes most of the day and she gets $100 and no cut of the calender sales.... same thing... she does it because she gets to put it on her resume and the pictures go in her portfolio....

So for $1000 she better be racking in nothing but a G string if she expects me to throw an extra 5 bucks towards the PPV... actually strike the G string she better be wearing nothing but some stripper heals
 
1. for no extra cost, rack girls would be a nice touch, but I persoally dont like "paying" for what I see everyday for free (in so cal)

2. $1000 is too much, I hope that is for expenses too, and if so, why cant you find someone local?

3) Can you get Shanelle to rack? No one has really talked about her lately :D

4) The pro events should have a "racker" no matter who it is. To me, a little degrading watching the players rack. I mean in tennis do you ever see Nadal walking around and picking up loose balls?

I surprised myself...I voted yes.
An independent racker is a must for this game to get respect by the
general public.
The racker should be trained to rack well....
...and if she is pretty, I won't complain.
 
Most guys I know dont know how to rack. Finding a hot girl of the streets who can do it is going to be impossible. Altough i dont mind the idea I hope these guys dont mind loose racks.

Almost for sure, without a doubt. CSI is the exclusive North American distributor for the MBR. I think they used it last year, iirc. They did not use it for the One Pocket Championship last year, but that's not surprising.

Not to throw cold water on the thread, but I seriously doubt it's gonna happen.

The U.S. Open 10-Ball is played under BCAPL rules. Rack your own. And yes, the MBR will be mandatory.

Also RYO for the 1P, but no MBR, for obvious reasons.

I've always felt that having an older gentleman in a fine suit with white gloves to oversee the table really sets off the class and professionalism of an upper level event.

But, then again I have the luxury of working at a university and being constantly surrounded by young half naked females - when the weather's warm anyway.
 
Does it make sense to pay some chick a grand when some of the players finishing in the top 20 won't make that much???

I understand, as a viewer, how this might appeal.

But as player -- *no way* I'm letting one of these bimbos rack for me. If the udder guys wants, he can let it fly.

NFL cheerleaders get paid $50 a game and you want to pay some no name wannabe model $1000 plus expenses?

The event is in Vegas. If you can't find a pretty girl there to be a card girl for free to get the publicity I would be utterly shocked!

Who needs it anyway? You pay to watch pool, there are plenty of other places on the net you can pay to watch girls if you want. :cool:
 
Basically if you want people at the tournaments and watching online you have to do more than show just the game of pool... For an event like The Southern Classic I think Greg and I are on the same page....

Have something for everyone... Make it a 3 ring circus... With the tournament at the center ring.... I'd have venom doing trickshots 3 times a day... Amateur events.... Break contests daily..... instructors giving 30 minute lessons to anyone around the table and maybe even A live band area so that If you talked you wife into coming you could appease her by getting a drink or 2 in her and dancing with her......

Pro Pool by itself won't cut it... Pool with a carnival atmosphere will have people who would be borderline attendees lining up to be entertained if they have options on how to spend there entertainment time........

This is why I am for the rack girl or the girl walking around with the rack numbers..... Hell have her walk around with a scoreboard on a pole so noone has to keep count or look up at the beads..... Do something different... Hell at this point anything different has to be a good thing.....
