radial pin question

i've got a fella that wants a purpleheart break shaft for his kaiser cue

is the kaiser radial pin,
that they describe as 3/8x8(T) big pin,
the same radial pin that atlas sells?????

That won't work. Real radial is less than 8 tpi.

the REAL radial is 7 point something if i recall ?????

Schmelke does not have the tap and only has limited pins.

No, that tap won't work because it's for the Uniloc Radial. You need the one from Schmelke.

It's funny. Uniloc trademarked the name Radial. They did not patent the pin design. Whoever knocks them off could just make an identical pin and call it something else, but they make a different pin! Go figure!

Which is why, some of them are just called ball screw. Pretty simple.:smile:

Schmelke stopped selling the tap but I have one that they made if needed. I must forewarn everyone though that the tap doesn't work real well. It's more of a compression tap than a cutting tap so it doesn't seem to make the threads real precise.
