Buddy Hall won his only US Open title with a radial screw cue. He beat Tang Hoa,.who shot.with a 3/8 10 cue.

a ball of the correct size will roll in the thread.......... other threads are V shaped or flat bottomed................. the "ball thread" is used to move machine components using a ball screw ........ CNC machines for example
