radial thread shafts

will all radial pin thread shafts fit my dale perry are the universal??

The short answer is no. D/P uses a uniloc type radial pin so any shaft that has that thread will fit which is many of the American cue makers. Most of the Asian cues that use a radial have a different profile than the Uniloc one. They will not fit. The Predator and OB low deflection shafts threaded for the radial pin will work.

> It all depends on who is making the shaft. If this is an aftermarket shaft such as OB or Predator,it SHOULD fit, just a matter of how snug, and how much the diameter is different at the joint seam. If you measure your joint and order a shaft from Dale,it WILL fit.

As far as I know,Perry uses the real-deal Uni-Loc Radial, and high-grade replacement shafts are tapped with the right tap to fit that.

There are, however,a couple imported cues that have a similar, but not identical rounded thread form, and these may NOT be interchangable. There are also different suppliers that make pins for cuemakers that may not be the exact same.

Stick with a known brand shaft, and it should work. A good repairman should be able to take an aftermarket shaft that is close, and make it perfect, not only in diameter but the fitting of the pin itself, and wouldn't cost much. Tommy D.

thanks guys, theres 2 radial shafts for $65 SHIPPED FOR THE PAIR in the for sale section i hope will fit, because i agreed to buy them

You can have the shafts plugged and re-tapped pretty cheaply, if it comes to that.

Just to clarify, "Radial" is a trademarked name by the UniLoc corporation. The Radial pin design is not patented, but the name is protected.

There are many copies of the "Radial" pin, and they are always called something else. Or at least they should be.
