rail cloth on the ends

I cannot figure out how you get it to lay on the corner pocket ends with out folding it over, and everyone I've looked at and taken off is like that

I see people fold over and staple the side pocket ends
But not the corners

Does it make a difference that much?
Why would some fold over doubling the side pocket ends but not the corner pocket ends

pocket ends

When laying the cloth into the feather strip groove lay the cloth so that the
corner pocket ends curve toward the cushion by 3/4 to an inch. Start the curve about 12 to 16 inches from the end making sure that your cloth is wide enough to be pulled and stapled into the cloth recesss. Pull each corner first. Most of the slack will disappear on the corner and there will be just a few small overlaps in the stapeling groove. Try to pull evenly along the length of the rail so as not to have ripples. If you have ripples or wrinkles under the cushion unstaple the problem area
and make adjustments. Don't trim the excess cloth until you're happy with your job. The first couple of rails will take maybe 1/2 hour each and get easier and faster after that. The Simonis video by far is the best help. Mitch

I don't think I have enough material for that ,the ones I have are 3 to 4 inches wide, can't find a tape measure but I tried like you said, it's probably something I'd have to see done once
I'll get the DVD in a week or so,

But I'm just going to get this table up and playing already

I'll have fold over the corner pockets foronce
Other than making the pockets smaller and how it looks, which don't bother me unless I'm trying to look for it, what's wrong with folding the cloth over in the corners?

Because it's just too damned easy to do it right. Wait for the DVD's.

You may need new rail cloth depending on the rail size 5-6" width is needed being new to rail work 6" might be easier for you.
