I first want to say that I truly hope and pray that you are miraculously healed Raist.
It occurred to me that in most cases, when something like this happens, everyone sends blessings, etc., and almost nothing else comes across until after someone passes on. Then the conversations and notes start about how wonderful a person they were, etc.
I hope others follow suit with the following.
Raist
I will attempt to use this as an opportunity to let you know what it is about you that has made a difference in me. I have never met you face to face, but every time we PM'd each other or posted on common threads, there was always a great amount of respect on you part to ensure that an unbiased opinion came across. I cannot recall you ever berating any cuemaker or their work, and you have always been more than forthcoming with information. From someone who is always trying to learn more, that has been appreciated. Obviously this includes all of the info you have provided countless others with regard to Titlist cues, as well as many other types of vintage cues. I want to thank you for providing the valuable information regarding Burton Spain and his blank making abilities. As others on this forum do, you have unselfishly pointed out auctions on ebay that may interest others, even when you had interest in them yourself.
I am saddened to think of what may lie ahead for you, and pray that you can keep your pain at arm's length. I don't know if you are a Christian or not, but I will end with a verse from one of my favorite songs.
"And with your final heartbeat, kiss the world goodbye,
And go in peace and laugh on glory side,
And fly to Jesus, fly to Jesus, fly to Jesus and live."
