Raj "Rag" Hundal strikes again

Raj beat Imran last time he met him in GB9 tour and Raj is also ranked no 2 in the main tour. The lad is great player and improving all the time and he is a gentlemen on and off the pool table. So TXsouthpaw please do not disrespect the lad by call him names and i think most off the pro's reading this will agree that your are the A-hole in this thread. by the the way he has just beaten Jonny Archer at the 14.1 WC and that says it all.

sorry i guess raj is the only one whos entitled to an opinion.

Cuebecca the head gear Raj wears is traditionally worn by all Sikhs around the world. He has worn this all his life and give the lad the respect he deserves and not discriminate against his features. I would not want to offend anybodies religious beliefs by calling them names that could be insulting them just because of their dress manner.

thanks jay that was my understanding as well, that much of what he says is taken out of context because he is saying them tongue in cheek. All of which reinforces my point about why more pros dont post on here because of threads like this.

Ben

Maybe we should give the Pros their own sub forum. They can only talk to each other!

All I know is that Raj is a blast to hang out with. That guy keeps me in stitches laughing. He probably is a little cocky but who isn't that has that much talent. Cool guy in my book.

What happend to Steve night? He has not been to USA in the last 7 years.Lat time I saw him he was wearing a shiny club/evening shirt during the day time.He was a very strong player.
Darren is also a another cool Bloke.

Sorry slow to reply to you,

Steve has not played competitively for some time now which is a great shame............

I don't want to speculate on any reasons why he no longer plays, all i can say is that its a shame for the game as he is a great character!!!!!!!

One of my best pool days has been with him and Andy "Rocket" Richardson at the world champs in Cardiff..........

I do hope that the word RAG is not refferring to Raj's bandana (head gear). The lad's religion is SIKHISM and his religion requires him to cover his head. He would wear a turban but that would limit his playing ability just like Monty Panesar in cricket. Please refrain from using the word rag as it is offensive and you could end up with a lawsuit for discrimination against you. Personally if Raj found out who you were he would shove his cue down your throat.

Just to clear things up I did not know he's required to wear it for religious purposes. I used to term Rag as in Do-Rag bacause I use one also. So if I unintenionally offended anyone I am sorry.

I totally agree with you. He speaks his mind, and he's a helluva player. I had a chance to spend a little time with both him and Rodney Morris, and my face was hurting from laughing so much. Those guys are a trip.

Thanks, Neutral, for the clarification. To discriminate is not my way, so I don't mean to disrespect anyone's religion, as I understand it's very important to him.

I had just never seen headgear tied like that, and even after attempted research I couldn't find any that match. However, I did learn that each Sikh can have their own way of tying their turban, so I presume this explains why I could not find another who ties it the same. Is this correct? I am not questioning it, just trying to understand. :)
