I believe he ran a 7 pack, was quite a performance and if you were not watching you missed a good one against Shannon Daulton.

glad i got to witness it. looked like a match that was painful to watch at first, really happy i kept watching

I concur, i was 2 minutes from switching it off and then Eckert went from being down 4-2 to being up 10-4 with the cannon stewing in the chair.

Ralf is a really underrated player. He has been a world class player for the whole 20 years I have known him. But he doesn't get out as much as the other top German players.

No -- 5-pack. It was 6 B&R's in a 7-game stretch (Games 8 through 14). In Game 9, Ralph made the 8-ball on the break, then played safe on the 1-ball; Shannon scratched and Ralph ran out.

Well,

Ralph has to spend much time on his other *interests* (job). Trickshot-hows, instructing and writing bc being an author (imo 2 of his books are two of the most useful books for a pool player. Kind of state of art) -which is connected with much travelling. But usually as soon as he is showing up to compete......he s hard to beat, no matter who he plays. Without playing that much tournaments or league etc, i still find it impressive to show up so strong like in the 14.1 worlds where he got into the semis, and now again at the open.

I love to watch him play-ton s of knowledge and heart.

Great job Ralph!

I'm sure I inspired him 2 weeks ago during our clinic... :-)

Seriously, was a pleasure meeting Ralph, great guy and great player. Looking forward to reading his book when it comes out in English.
