Rambow anyone?

So we have a guy that "I have shot pool all my life and have never shot with this fine of a cue" yet calls the shafts "top pieces". Yay for ebay.

Welcome:thumbup: i know it's not as nice lookin as your jd cue, but i'm thinkin it's worth about 100x more, lol. It was at 1500 when i posted the link, now it's already at 2500:cool: I'm pretty sure both George, and Gus used his blanks too. You know, Titlists.

Well gee thanks again..at that rate it will be at $5K by this afternoon..I wasn't comparing it with any other cues..I was trying to bring to your attention that some of us... ...nevermind!

I think what ToomnyQs is nicely trying to tell you is that, unless the cue is yours, you really aren't doing anyone a favor by broadcasting it on a chatline. All it does is draw attention to the cue and raise the bidding for the seller, whereas the person with the $1,500 bid might have been an AZB member that could have got a deal on the cue.

It is very obvious that this seller doesn't know his a** from a hole in the ground about cues, and I'd rather see someone who has done their homework get a deal than an uneducated seller. That doesn't happen if someone appoints themselves hall monitor and announces the seller's ignorance to the world. The Rambow might have been a real deal for someone at $1,500, but now, it's going to be an average deal at best with the seller making out much better than the party he bought it from, I guarantee you.

AMEN Brother!

Thanks Hunter...I can appreciate that we all try to help each other, but I seriously doubt that the OP was a potential buyer for the cue..

I really dont see how i'm killin your action by posting a ebay link, lol. I'd rather see it go to someone on here that would appreciate it more than someone that buys it just because they can. That + a jelly roll = BUMP:D

I understand that you were trying to help out the AZ community and get someone a good deal. What you don't realize is that you more than likely did just the opposite. People on AZ are very knowledgeable and watch ebay and other places constantly for deals. There were probably several people on AZ that were watching that cue and had a shot at getting a good deal. Now that you have called everyone's attention to it, it is no longer a "good deal" and have turned away the AZers that would have really gone after it. Also, you will find out that is considered to be bad etiquette on AZ to point out ebay links or other auction links that are not your own.

^^^ you know what I'm saying. Just like the Szamboti situation that just occurred. Now, there's a bunch of 'extra' attention around it which can ONLY serve to raise the cost to the future buyer.

Who considers it bad etiquette? You ( And others) do, I ( and others) do not. eBay is worldwide and not a secret. I do not believe AZ has any bearing on EBay Bids. It would be different if I, hypothetically speaking, told you of a deal between two people that were meeting privately to buy and sell and you showed up with more money to spoil the deal. That was private, Fleabay is public.

Just my opinion, just like you have yours.

I just wanted to say, thank you for the link! My brother is bidding on the cue now and has NO PROBLEM paying what the cue is worth! Hopefully, when I get back on my feet, I will be able to purchase this fine cue from him. I too will not have a problem paying what the cue is worth. IMHO, it would seem the only people who WOULD have a problem paying what the cue is worth...is resellers here on AZ who wish to make a HUGH profit! I want the cue for other reasons, I will NOT be reselling it!
Thanks again, I appreciate the help in finding something I want!

The only pool the seller has ever played involves his pants pocket, and he probably has done that his whole life.

The title does say Rambow and Cue so chances are, this is being watched by people who know anyways. Regardless of the OP's intent. That being said the chance to "snipe" it at a good price is gone, which is all that is really lost.

It's only when someone lists a "faulty" listing does a person lose the chance to get a great deal, or goes to the seller as a know it all, IMHO.

Again, it's refreshing to know that there are so many people who would walk into a barn and find a hemi-cuda and turn down the 500 to buy it and tell the owner what he really has. I am so glad to know that.

Huge profits??

I am offended by that Randy..Firstly..You for one are "one of the resellers here on AZ" who seems to sell (or resell) his share of cues..Secondly..I don't try to make a "Huge Profit" on any cue I sell..On the contrary, I make very little on cues I sell and I am trying to subsidize my meager income by doing something perfectly legal rather than dragging this country further into the hole it is destined for..

I'm pretty sure you would've easily doubled, if not tripled your money if you could've sniped it for 1500. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but personally, i hate knowing this cue is gonna be shipped once, let alone twice:(
Besides, by the looks of your sig, your 1500 would be better spent on a nice brush hog:D Oh, and btw, buying foreign cars, and cues, etc. is helping drag this country further down into a hole:thumbup:

Did I mention YOUR name? I could care less who is trying to buy this cue! Unless you have about $8,000-$10,000 in your pocket...it's mine (My brother is very rich, but I'm very poor)! Besides...I won't be reselling this cue...but I'm sure you will!
