I am getting old and maybe like to sell my cue. History of cue Frank Bananas Rodriguez left me this cue in 2002 when he passed away. I met Bananas in 1969 and he stated he got the cue from Eddie Taylor. Eddie Taylor he said won two of the rambows in Macon, Ga many years ago. It does not have original joint are shafts. This was replaced in 2002 by Woody the cue maker. He will also confirm this cue to be a Rambow.

I'm getting old too and maybe want to buy your cue. Don't know though.
:p

PoolHustler, that was a good offer back when Herman Rambow was making them. Things change over the years. Thanks but no thanks..

Photos and specs would help a lot, especially if the joint has been changed and neither shaft is original, as you said. Who did the joint change, and who built the shafts? What kind of joint is it now, vs what it was before? Why was joint changed, etc?

Thanks,
Joe

FYI -

I have no idea what I am buying.

No pics, specs, or pertinent info, so I will stick with my offer.

No, it would have been a crazy offer back in the day when Rambow was making them. His cues sold for about $60. How about educating us with what you really have if you really want to sell it and quit teasing like a schoolgirl?

Thanks

Kevin

Was the butt retappered?

That is alot of the value. If it was cut down the titlist blaank may be worth more than the cue.
Learned by experience. I had one Gus redid for a friend. Not worth much.
Nick :)

This is no tease. Woody Woodworth well know cue maker replaced joint in cue and made me two shafts in 2002. Sammy Jones well known pool Player ex husband of Lorre Jones knows about my rambow. I still play with it, however I am a weak player. This cue has a lot of history. Booked a lot of winners when Bananas used it. Only time it lost when I used it. The List of players Bananas played goes on and on. Jersy Red., San Jose Dick, Marcel Camp, Craig Stevens, and Ronnie Allen to name a few. I have played some of these players with a good spot with this cue along with some of the games new players. Silver, David G, it was not the Rambow that lost it was me. This cue is probably only as good as the history it has been through and the name of the man who won it, and the great cue maker who made it.

At my age I am not very sharp with posting pictures on line. My Daughter said she will come over and help me. Sorry did not mean to upset any one. I still go to Bannanas every day here in San Antonio. Sometimes I play but most of the time I am at the bar thinking I can play.Met Eddie Taylor in 1969 here at Bananas and sure glad that I did. What a STROKE and stories he had. Some of you out there may remember Doyle's Billiards in San Antonio in the early seventys. That was my place. We had some high ACTION. Every well known player came around. Well I will stop until I can post picture of Rambow.

You should post up some of your old time stories in the Main Forum. Many of us love to read about the Good Ole' Days!! :)

Good luck with you sale. Gotta love the old Rambow's!!!
