It was on an 8 ft table but the outs were well executed. It seems like my game is really starting to improve lately. Pretty cool. Really gonna try focusing on Straight Pool and 9 ball. Really cool to see the hard work pay off.

On another note. I have noticed how its not much use for me to play 10 ball right now. The break is almost a disadvantage for me because I don't break very well yet.

Anyways, any good 9 ball tips and reference stuff would be awesome!

Good job, don't give up.

Best tip for pool is, never shoot unless 100% sure of your shot and your position.

Thiis is one of my biggest problems, sounds like it'd be an easy fix but it's surprisingly difficult and it takes being very mindful of how committed you are to the shot.

Improvements only come from a lot of hard work and table time unless you are just naturally gifted. I've been playing a long time and my best is a 5 pack against the ghost (twice which really doesn't count) but I still love to shoot balls into the rails whether I get better or not.

Way to go my dude a 2 pack is not a easy thing I was playing for about 3 years before I did it. Just a little advice Try playing 3 pockets ahead just for fun that's 9 ball but you have to call 3 shots at a time or you give your opponent ball in hand for instance you call after the break 1 bal side 2 ball same pocket then 3 ball in top left corner if you cand do that exactly you give ball in hand

When I was a kid and was first starting out I was taking lessons from the BEST player in our whole town ( Cigar Tom ) and that was pretty much what I asked him too. I said " Mr Cigar, if I asked you what is the single most important thing that you could tell me to make me a really good player like you?" Cigar Tom looked me dead in the eyes; with as serious face as I had EVER SEEN and just said " DONT MISS!!!!!" That has stuck with me all these years and initially it might seem kinda like a smart ass comment but the longer you play the more you will realize it truly IS GOSPEL!!!!!!

So anyhow bud --- DONT MISS!!!!!! Also, congrats on your 2 pack!!!! That is such an amazingly awesome feeling the very first time that you put more than one rack together! You may one day become a champion and routinely string 9+ racks but the feeling will NEVER be the same as the 1st time ya put a couple racks together! So enjoy bud, YOUVE EARNED IT!! Good luck to you my friend!!!!

That's right!!! Rock on brother! I know you're pretty new but you seem like ya already have it down how to handle folks here lol😇 Right on man!!! Keep at it and before long ull be stringing ALL KINDA RACKS!

I did notice that ya mentioned playing on an 8' table, is that what you normally play on? Not that there's anything wrong with that but its been my experience that playing on an 8 footer always screws my game up as opposed to a full size or a bar box ( both of which I do play on ) I actually learned to play on a full size tournament table ( 4.5x9 ) and did so for almost a full year before EVER PLaying on a barbox and I have always felt as if that really gave me an advantage as opposed to people that started out on a bar box and eventually moved up to a full size. So I can jump back and forth between a BB AND FS, but still to this day I feel like when I play on the 8 footer ( which honestly is hardly ever - they are few and far between in my area ) that it totally screws up my game on both the 7'&9'. What are your thoughts in regards to all that I just mentioned bro????

Well I started playing on 8 ft tables and then 9 fts. I have a fair amount of time on both with a little bit of time on 7'. I think that all 3 table sizes are important to play on in their own right and playing on all 3 can help a lot with speed control. I usually don't have too much transitioning except from 8 or 9 to 7

To the OP: Good shooting!

I don't know what this forum is coming to..A guy posts about running 2 racks and running 23 balls in straight pool and you guys go on like he claimed to have climbed Mount Everest hopping on one leg! For anyone to doubt a 2 pack after 2 years of play they can't be playing at a good pool hall. I don't think you could be playing the game at all, to honestly be doubting such a mundane claim. I think you are just trolling, and for one of the doubters, I know it to be a fact that he is a troll. He has proven it time and time again. How he has escaped a permanent ban is a mystery to me. Guys like him gets off on pxxxxxg all over peoples accomplishments, dragging them down to their level. They can't live unless they make everything dead around them, like Bert in the Hustler.

I don't mean to diminish the OP's accomplishment, but it is not far fetched, incredible or headlines worthy...It's good and something to feel happy about, but nobody is stopping any presses. A lot of people will never experience this though, because they lack the drive and motivation to work on their game. They mindlessly bang the balls around, never wondering why the keep hitting the rails instead of the pockets. By running your first couple of racks, you take a long step past those people and are well into the serious player territory. This is where the hard work begins, but the rewards get even greater. The OP is young, serious about the game and obviously looking to improve. For people with those qualities, improvement comes quickly. It's fun to read about people improving and loving the game, instead of petty squabbles, whining and trolling.
