Rank by High Run

I thought Archer ran 150 and out in a match, and then continued his run to over 200 balls within a few months of even trying the game. Varner had coached him for a bit before the tourney.

I would not doubt that at some point Archer ran 150 and out on somebody... but the only one I can find that is close and that Varner was present for was 120 and out...

Although, he has had a few 100 and outs as well...

Have yet to find anything verifiable showing Archer ran over 200 balls...

Straight from the Scorpion himself... http://www.johnnyarcher.net/askFAQ.html

Hi Johnny! I just came across your site and like it a lot....I was just wondering what your high runs in 9-ball and straight pool are? Thanks and take care. Ralf

Hi Ralf, My high run in 9 ball is the 13 racks. Straight pool is 200 unfinished. Thanks for writing in, Johnny. "

Another interested tidbit... Ewa Mataya Laurance, The Striking Viking, Female Professional Billards Player ... Holder of the High Run World Record in women's competitive Straight Pool of 68 (Sixty Eight) balls in competitive straight pool... and has held it since 1988 except for 10 minutes in 1992...

I still contend that IMHO if you can run 50-100 consistently, you can run with the big dogs and are a force to be reckoned with regardless of your personal high-runs...

Jasmin Oschan ran 90 and out against Radoslaw Babica in the 2008 World Tournament in New Jersey. She also ran 88 in the same Tournament.
