In all the years I played pool these are the best hitting cues

in no particular order

South West
Runde
Schon
Mottey/White
Vigus
Bob Owen
Nemic
Tascarella
Paul Drexller
Jerry Rauenzahn

I have had at least 5 maybe 10 of each of these, except Tascarella
only had a very few

I love these cue, perhaps you have a personal favorite
that i left off

Top 10 no particular order

PS

JC on AZ here makes cues,he made me a 58 inch cue with
an 8 or 10 inch extension,I played the best pool of my life with it
using the extension 100% of the time,I have one on order now

At the time many top pros were playing long cues,it worked for me

I have another one coming from him next week,i am looking forward to it

Add Josey to your list.

by far the most amazing cue i ever saw
was a Josey

It earned the name of the Draw Stick

You could hit it easy and draw it back,g stroke and it drew like a masse shot

I was playing with it when I hit a masse draw looking shot,Jerry Franklin took my Josey and played all day with it while I used his South west

Jack Potter, the maker of Libra cues could not believe the way it not only drew but you could hit hard inside and go 3 long rails Believe me this cue was magic

Keith Josey made us a few more, they were nice but nothing like the magic draw cue

It now resides in the Dennis Glenn collection of fine cues awaiting display in the Glenn collection museum

This is subjective, of course, because personal preference varies from player to player, but I've never found a playing cue I liked better than an ivory jointed Paul Mottey or James White.

I once had an ebony titleist made into a wrapless Paul Mottey with an iviry joint

i hated it,sold it,took it back in trade and fell in love with it

I ended up sellig it and buying it back 2 more times until Dennis Glenn put it in the Collection

That guy had an eye for great plaiyng cues

Paul Mottey cues all played good.sweet
whether steel or ivory

he even made me a few wood pin cues that
i really liked,i wish i had one of them right now

Best for me...

Schon Hoppe Tribute...with a 314-2 Fat or REVO
Predator iKon 2............with a 314-2 Fat or REVO

The Dufferin(Canadian made) house cue i grabbed off-the-wall one time. THE best playing cue i ever hit a ball with. Not joking here folks. 19oz Dufferin wallybushka. NO two-piece i've ever hit came close to how good this thing played. Should have swiped it.

I have few of these....had 2 converted and really like them. Yes indeedie...they are Off The Wall

Tim Scruggs told me that nothing played better than a house cue
meaning a one piece cue,he said the cue makers had all been trying
to get that hit

My favorite cues:
2nd cue I got from Mason H, best hitting cue I ever had
Joey's
DPK that a buddy has
Scruggs merry widow I had
d17 I had
80's joss cues
DZ sneaky was a good one
Last James White I had was a good one
Sneaky from snipershot, which was a pretty close copy of another sneaky I had

if the cue was so important to how well you shoot. the top pros would not be using a cue supplied by some manufacturer that sponsors him as those that used the special cues would win all the tournaments.
its all in your mind as long as you have something straight and fitting to your style of shooting.
