Just saw a sign on a small night club in Denver-2011 Rap contest $1000 first place. How many pool tournaments pay $1000 for first place?
 
yeah... those 1st place only events can have a huge payout.

Typically pool hall events pay 25% of the field.

since I cannot RAP and think that the word is a letter short... (needs a C in front)

I guess I better stick to pool..

That doesn't surprise me, I have no doubt that Hip Hop culture has a larger following than billiards.
 
It's much harder to find someone in dead stroke than it is to simply find someone brain dead. :yes:
 
Stracraft 2 had 4 tournaments last year that paid $87,000 each for first place, and they pay out the lower places too.

Lol ain't that the truth. the local weekly tournament here would be lucky to draw in 15 players but it brings out all the players in town. the problem is they all make it a point to come after it starts so they won't be asked to play and they they go to the counter and order nothing but water.

any business that hosts a rap contest is full of people who went in willing to spend money. everyone in the pool room these days goes in trying to figure out how to dodge the table time.

little known fact. when OMGWTF got stiffed the chick only ran off to avoid paying the table time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
