I can't give a price because they is such little data to go on. If you have seen the sailor sales in the past you will know it is very hard to find a ANY transaction over $650 for a sailor cue. There have been 2 spain blank cues or unique cues for sale over the last couple of years and they 1 seller never sold it because he was asking WAYYYYY to much and the other, I think was traded by jacobyguy (great azer) maybe he could tell you his final value he got for the cue but I doubt it surpassed $1,000 and his cue was a mighty fine example.

Maybe someone else can chime in with an price.

thanks for the reply....yes acouple people have suggested that its a burton spain...do u know a reasonable fair market value for this cue...ive heard diffrent prices..anywhere from 700 to 1500

chi-guy;

you have a very nice looking Sailor with his trademark flared buttcap; which was his way of paying homage to the navy, think bellbottoms...

It would be worth your effort to get better pics of the joint, forearm, close up points shots so the knowledgeable az'ers can make a better judgement.

That you may have a sailor with a Spain front is really cool.

borrow a digital cam or do better lighting with your cell pics.

Maybe place the cue on a white sheet or towel outdoors and hold the cell phone real steady.

best,
brian kc

There is a member in the wanted/for sale forum that is specifically looking for a Sailor cue with points and veneers. You may want to message him if the two of you haven't found each other. I'm on my ipad and have trouble with links, etc... maybe another member can help out by posting the link to the w/FS thread.

Good luck! I weaned myself off of buying cues after I bought a SouthWest and the earth didn't move while shooting with it. Sailor cues have always made me open threads to look, and yours looks like a nice one!

thank you guys... i appreciate the feedback... i will be goin to the poolhall shortly and will take new pics under the table light and i will zoom in on the cue and the major details....will post them in acouple hrs
