Here is a rare unknown set that I picked up.
Super cool old school set.
Any ideas?

Ok guys, I know what it is......what do you think?

My guess would be Verl Horn. Points definitely not Scruggs. Points look a bit long for Showman, but a possibility. Pretty nice set.

All the best,
WW

A Horn cue with the bases of the prongs touching? I've never seen one

But on the other hand, I've never seen a Showman when the points weren't pushed up so high, except with a Titlist conversion. Have to admit Tim, you might be right with the Showman guess, but I also don't remember him using brown bumpers, either the KU, or the current available. This is a good one.

All the best,
WW

Tim,

I was looking at the nice points on the cue on the right. Burton Spain sold Verl Horn blanks. This is not to say for all cues, but he did sell him some blanks.

Just sayin

Yes but Burtons banks were way shorter than what's pictured.. Definitely not a Spain blank...

Cue

That "mystery cue". Is one of the body builder's best finds. I would say his second best find.

Skins is correct....they were built by John Showman.
Beautiful old school designs.
John said its the only break/jump he has built with inlays.
The set was built for a 100 ball runner.
Thanks for the comments and for playing along.
