there will be a $15 rated 9ball tourny on sat aug 14th. handicapped is 3 to 7 with each racing to ther handicapp. alternate break. starts at 2 pm sharp. $20 will be held out of tourny money for end of year points winner. 1st place is awared 10 points, 2nd 8 points, 3rd 6 points, 4th 4 points, and anyone who does not place in top 4 will recieve 1 point. tourny is at mo river pub & pool. 7ft diamonds. bout 10 miles east of columbia missouri on I -70. south side of highway.

What would my handicap be? And, what happened to the over $300 in the 10 ball break and run pot from when tournaments were suspended there a couple of months ago due to Summer?:(:(:(

And, what is their NEW phone number?:grin:
 
how do they determine handicaps for unknown players? do they change it in the middle of the tournamet - in the middle of a set - middle of a game (like another regional tourny i've seen)?

those tournys are going to continue probably sometime in oct. i dont know bout phone number

i am in charge of the handicapping. if you play in a league then i will base it off of that, if you dont play in any league and nobody knows how you play that i know we will start you out at a 5. we will not adjust during a match but after, and that is only if you were an unknown and are obviously playin at a higher level. mostly im going to take the word of the unknown until proven different. i try to run as fair a tournament possible. hope you can make it down

and mark , i will let crump decide your handicap, but im guessing 4 or 5
 
Handicap should be based on what you would play for $$$$

I would not play Crump 7-3 for the $$$ since I would have basically little chance to win. So, as much as I would like to drive 90 minutes to Millersburg and see you guys I would have NO chance to win.

I will call Don to see what he says. Good luck with the event.
Besides the Cardinals will be pummeling the Cubbies Saturday afternoon at Busch Stadium, an 18 minute drive.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
i have been there half a dozen times... and never has there been more than 15- 20 people in it. the equipment is great . i just cant believe the turnout is so weak.

in the winter time we have been known to get anywhere from 16 to 36, and even hit 40 a couple times. i think that the struggling economy is hurtin the turnouts as well, thats why we are doin the low entry fee and handicapping. i think they are goin to get better

Well I slept through the start of this event. This working stuff Monday through Friday is hard. Friday night is happy hour and sleep in on Saturday.

What are the results, payouts, and handicaps.???

Mid August? Cards Cubs in STL.
 
there is a tournament in alton at riverbend twice a month on sundays and they get at least 32 every time. so that is worth driveing to

crump won as an 8, jeff moore got 2nd as a 5, ivan sweezer got 3rd as an 8.

They had 10 players.
