Rauenzahn Titlist

Sweet cue!

I saw pictures before and after from Jerry. He was really excited about the design and had a bal doing this cue. It is amazing how Jerry manages to stay on top of his work. Fast turn around.
Sweet cue!

Just finished Titlist conversion from Jerry Rauenzahn. Jerry has been an absolute pleasure to deal with; very helpful and informative. Believe it or not, this cue was completed in barely a month.:D Everything white is ivory.

I'm looking forwad to sending Jerry another Titlist after the holidays.

Jerry never misses on these - I've got an old trashed Model 26 1/2 I'm going to have him convert. If you are thinking about getting him to do a conversion, and you give him a call just to talk about it, you'll do it. He has a great enthusiasm for cue-making and design.

Very, very nice cue. Jerry does fantastic work and still remains way below the radar. Go figure.

Shameless Plug!!!

The titlist I have on ebay now was redone by Jerry and he also made the new shaft for it. Flawless work.

And really sharp titlist sir!! :)
How long did you wait until you shot with the cue?
Nick :)

I couldn't agree with you more. I made a list of cuemakers I was going to approach with this conversion. Jerry's name just happened to be the first one on the list. Needless to say, I never made it passed his name.

I don't know who was more excited about this cue, him or me? He was extrememly helpful and took the time to answer all my questions. At no time did I feal rushed or pressured in any way. By far the smoothest transaction I have ever had with a cuemaker. Not that there have been many, but nonetheless, it was a real pleasure.

I was wondering why you didn't mention in the ebay description that Jerry did the work.

rauenzahn titlest

What can i say-- when your right your right.
Jerry's the best.
That cue is an ivory variation of the mother pearl pokka dot conversion Jerry did for me.
Both are beautiful work.

Beautiful conversion Nelson!....Wanna make a trade  :D ;)

Ken, didn't you just get one of Jerry's cues from Nick? We'll have to compare at the tourney next month. I haven't hit with this one yet, but Jerry managed to make it full-splice, and made a shaft from the original 1-piece Titlist.

Hi Scott, yes I made a trade with Nick for the 1/2 Joint veneered cue of Jerry's.

I think it probably would hit a little different than this conversion that Nelson has here but, I've got a Purpleheart Titlist (26 1/2) conversion I had Scott Whisler make for me that I'll bring along....it's got the ivory joint with a radial pin :D

Looking forward to meeting you & having some fun at the tourney! Cheers, Ken ;)

I talked with Jerry right after he made this cue, and was intrigued with the idea of a full-splice Titlist with original shaft. I played with it today for over six hours, using only the old shaft, and it was a STIFF hitter!

Nick? Who Dat Is?

Ken is great! You know Ken ,I really like that Frey veneer cue of yours! And yes Ken pried a beautiful titlist colored veneer cue from me.
He knows one of my weaknesses! Scruggs cues!! Ken's cue hits incredable soft and solid.
Hay Ken I have one more weakness! Frey cues!
I hear Jerry still has 5 or so titlist cues available for conversion cues and one or sale out right and it is a baseball bat. It is perfect for conversion.
Here is Jerry"s nimber! 1-814-723-8322
Great cue Mr. Taiko!
Nick :)

Glad you like Jerry's work. Anyone that has a titlist waiting for a conversion should give Mr. Rauenzahn a try. I love the way the ivory joint and radial pin hit. His cues hit awesome!! Nice looking cue!!!

Thanks for sharing!!!

I was playing with two Rauenzahn conversions when I got hold of a real stiff cue (that sounded/felt stiff) and decided to change for 9 ball - still used Jerry's for 1-pocket and 8 ball. I recently did the 'tone test' on the shafts for those two Rauenzahn conversions, and they are right up there - you can get fooled by his cues because they have a 'soft feel', but they still hit pretty stiff (at least mine do). But this 50-yr Titlist shaft he made has the tone of crystal. Really amazing. I would like to get hold of a few more real old house cues with straight shafts, just for the shaft end.

If you have high-quality pics of any Rauenzahn conversion cues, (like yours, John!), please send to my email - I'm attaching a Titlist conversion page to my website, and will start with a page of Jerry's cues (since I have 3 already :) )

Wow the cue looks almost identical to the one I recently traded to get. The last Schrager Titlist made for Raist. The only difference is mine has a 3/8 X 10 pin and an ivory dot at the end of each point. same Rambow style dot in the points and butt, and matching no bumper like the old cues.
