I'm not bashing, just stating facts. The only things I have ever bought from Lee had problems. He was nice on the phone, since he didn't answer the emails I sent him and promised to send me out replacements right away. I never heard from him again. That was over a month ago.

His Southwest duplicate speaks for itself. Not only was it basically a carbon copy, but what was he thinking about by including joint protectors with a cactus logo??? Like I said that speaks for itself.

If a "supplier" is going to advertise products that he never makes or makes and then doesn't support(a certain CNC that jerseybill bought comes to mind), why should I give him any credit or benefit of doubt? Maybe he "lost interest"??? That is EXACTLY the sort of warning that potential customers should be warned about.

I'm glad that Bell Forrest, Atlas, and numerous other companies haven't "lost interest".

Some might say I have nothing better to do than criticize Lee. I have learned and met many great people on this site. There are quite a few that don't like Joe Barringer, but he has never done me wrong. I do, however, appreciate his detractors who post their negative experiences.

The "point" here is to let someone know what they might encounter should they chose to buy from this person or expect support.

I have never said anything about Lee that he hasn't deserved.

Your statement "I have never said anything about Lee that he hasn't deserved." may be true in your eyes, but the thread was about the recut fixtures. Your whining about your live center that was not sent is off topic and a problem between you and Lee. You could also have easily sent the poster asking about the fixtures a PM - but NO you had to inject your personal vendetta against Lee on a public forum.

It's interesting that you mention Joe Barringer - you've never had a problem with him, yet there are others that see his name and have to jump in like a pack of hyenas to attack him. "You know, 10 years ago I paid for this product and he's never delivered or made it right" even the thread has nothing to do with them or the product that they wanted. Let it go!!! Don't do business with him again, but turning an otherwise informative thread into personal attacks does nothing but belittle the attacker(s) IMHO.

Well, well, all Lee has to say is I'm no longer interested in making these fixtures and I'm sorry for wasting your time. Since every time he mentioned the product the rest of us had to re-entry our order and wait around. Also, to stop offering products that are non-existant with unknown production dates. Why is it that we must make allowances for suppliers just because they're also cuemakers.

I don't feel I have to consider what goes on in Lee's brain, anymore than if I sent you a cue to repair, fix it and I'll pay, deliver and I'll pay, the rest is plain crap by him and anybody that wants to make excuses or down play the situation which I think you did by
suggesting we consider Lee's interest or motivation to get out bed.

There's some that have an axe to grind with Lee and totally enjoy this. I'M NOT ONE. Ill do business with him again but he's dead wrong this time by his choice of not addressing the situation promptly and directly. Customers shouldn't have to tell a supplier five times they want an item offered by them. Stop acting as if you're doing a favor.

You certainly have an uncanny ability to read btwn the lines and when it suits your position, to add content at will.

The point of my post was to say that if it ain't happening, it's time to move on. John Rocker is doing these so why bother beating the dead horse?

I've known Lee for 20 yrs and trust me, I'm not making excuses for his business practices. The way he does business is one of the reasons I no longer associate with him.
In those 20 yrs I've come to understand a little of how he does things.
I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying that's how it is.

You say you don't have an axe to grind but I can clearly see sparks flying.
You might want to point them in another direction.

Well, well, all Lee has to say is I'm no longer interested in making these fixtures and I'm sorry for wasting your time. It's obvious he's not interested but that's not the point. KJ this is not about you, I'm just fed up with irresponsible behavior so my choice was to express those feelings.
I have found different ways of doing what the re-cut fixture does so it's not even the great need for the fixture. I've said my two cents worth of frustration.

The thread was about recut fixtures WHEN IT STARTED 4 MONTHS AGO. It became a WTF and where is Lee thread because of LEE and his notoriety for doing this sort of thing.

As far as Joe, I feel just as entitled to say a supplier has done well by me as to not. I'm not sure I get your point though. Ebay neutered the feedback system, but wouldn't you say it is helpful? If noone ever shared an experience with a seller, we might blindly fall for a scam. With feedback at least everyone gets a chance to make the correct choices for THEMSELVES.
