My Buddy asked me to post pics of this Phillippi he picked up at the SBE 2 years ago. He sent it out to Rick Phillippi and had some additional work done, as if there wasn't enough work in it already!

It had a leather wrap originally, but now it has a segmented amboyna burl handle with abalone ovals. All of the white is ivory. The points are ivory and ebony. The shaft is a Predator 314-2 with matching ringwork.

Simply stunning!

This came out nicely! Like the cue in its original condition and I'm not usually a "wrapless" fan, but whoever picked out the contrasting wood, inlays, and the design elements did a great job. The After picture is definitely more striking than the Before.

Nicely done by Rick. I had the pleasure of visiting him and his shop last year. He not only knows what he's doing, he's a great person and easy to work with so I'd encourage anyone to buy a Phillippi cue or to use Rick if you need careful repair work done on a high-end cue.
