Read this guys Dale Perry ebay description.

I have been playing with a DP bocote cue since 2010 I got off ebay for $120. I put a Tiger Everest tip on it and haven't turned back.

I am a good bar box 8 ball player and I love the feel, cue ball control, and and originality of the cue. I have bought new and used cues all for under $200 in hopes of finding a better hitting cue and I am now a DP player for life.

10 dp

I used to play with a DP cue back in 2009. The cue was and still is FLAWLESS!
I also bought some DP cues recently (5 month ago) for a charity party..
I bought them off ebay...all of them.
THE CUES WERE PERFECTLY MADE IN ALL ASPECTS!
...
...and yes I wish I could endorse Dale for his unbelievable work. Best player for the money ever, and for some reason I would challenge anyone with a 1000$ cu run a test against my DP...

Yes it is Shooter. I am sure that it is posted with the hope that Dale, his self might read it.

I have 2 and my wife shoots with one. I can tell you that both of mine are nothing less than perfect.

If this is the type of craftsmanship that is coming out of his shop these days, its no wonder that people complain about them.

Really sad because I am most happy with mine and obviously, this isn't close to how they used to be put out there.

I have almost a matching set. Just different wood but the design is so close that one could call them a matching set.

Maybe he has some helpers these days and the quality control group was out to lunch when that one went out the door.

I agree, great cues! So they aren't perfect, and?
I've had a couple of DP cues and I have to say that I've really had no complaints. Both hit great and felt really nice. All of the DP's that I've ever hit with are pretty consistent. The Stage IV shaft plays great or you can add a 314 2 or an OB Classic and you have pretty darn nice cue. I know people like to ride him hard for the Ebay thing but give the guy credit and a break....the cues are great. I dare you to try and put a production cue up against it at that price point and try to tell me it's better.....

This is why most good cue makers throw the "seconds" in the trash and don't let them leave the shop. Maybe that's the case here and maybe it isn't, too bad.

I had that same feeling. There is no way they would pass anykind of QC for sale!. Someone "snuck'em" out the door before they got destroyed.

I had a DP in 2009/10 as well. It is a good cue for the money. I used it for my player then, as a break cue, then sold it to a guy who liked it so much after he broke with it. He is 6'3" and @235,...... anything he uses is gonna hit good !
