Really old house cues

I pulled this question I asked from another thread that didn't get answered.

Question for y'all:

I have a selection of really old house cues. My dad just refinished a 1922 Brunswick Madison, and when he bought the table about 10 really old matching Brunswick house cues came with it, along with some accessories.

My question is: how much does it run to have these cut down to playing shafts, and how long does the process take? Roughly? And lastly, is there anyone near the eastern panhandle of WV that could take a look at them to let me know if they are suitable or not? I would like to not spend a fortune on shipping if they cant be used.

measure them

i get most of my shafts from old brunswick one piece cues. a simple way to determine if they are useable is to measure 29 inches from the end of the points up the cue. mark it at this point and measure the diameter, if the diameter is 13 1/2 mm or more and the cue is near straight you might be able to recut it.

Thanks for the info Chuck. I'll see what I come up with. I will have the pics up this week end.
