it looks like someone wrote that on there with a sharpie. Not real.
is the brass insert a clue?
You would be surprised what the import cues can be bought for. That may be all the cue cost. I used to buy Sneaky Pete cues for under $10.00 that looked like they cost $80.00 or $100.00. I would sell them as used cues one at a time when I would travel. I could walk in any bar or pool room and get from $30 to $50 with my eyes closed making a nice profit. Many times I could get rid of a dozen or more in a day. I often made more hustling the cues then I did playing pool. These were nice Valley cues by the way that were very well made.I'm no expert on cues, but why would McDermitt make a cue in '06 without their logo? That being said, I think it is a fake. None the less, it is only selling for $6.01 at this point.
I really, really doubt it. Why would it be hand written {printed, in this case} and shipped without a logo. I don't remember McDermotts with brass inserts in the shaft though I could be wrong about that. Even if it is a McDermott I don't think it's anything special.
I have never seen one either. It would not solve the problem of the joint splitting, if anything it would make it worse because of the large hole needed for the insert. Joint collars are the only thing that can keep the joint from splitting. In fact, years ago McDermott stopped selling SP's for that reason. They are a very reputable company about replacing cues that broke and too many were having to be replaced. They were my biggest seller when I had a pool room till they stopped making them. That was when I went to selling the Valley SP's. They were pretty good and cost about third of the McDermott cue. I sold a ton of those Valley SP's.I really, really doubt it. Why would it be hand written {printed, in this case} and shipped without a logo. I don't remember McDermotts with brass inserts in the shaft though I could be wrong about that. Even if it is a McDermott I don't think it's anything special.
