But why the inlay in the butt can't realy see it ?
I feel maple would have been better.

I wanted to stay with the Bocote/Purpleheart scheme that was used in the forearm. I agree that the inlay does not stand out as much as I would have liked. If I had it to do over again, I would have used Yellowheart like I used for the small diamonds at the base of the points.
I was MORE unhappy with the dark line around the butt sleeve inlay. It's not exactly a glue line, the inlay fit was tight. I think that the inlay soaked up the epoxy and the edges darkened.
