Recommend a flat case

I don't like my pool cases that open up at the top and was wondering if there is a good quality maker that makes flat cases in a 3x5 or 3x6 configuration.

I've looked all over the internet and all I can see in 3x6(5) is the regular that opens from the top or in the flat cases I only see 4x8 and that's about it.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
 
o'neil cases

Try looking up O'Neil cases. They are from Racine Wisconsin. You have to go through someone to get them. You can't order directly from them.

Oneil can mske whstever you somes a custom order is slow it will be quality though. They also make instrument cases so wide or deep would not be a problem. I have a real leather ball case. I think the leather i got is a little soft so i would recomend the faux leather. Good luck.
 
There is that Longoni hard case. I think it comes in a 3 X 5. It looks like a gun case, you can find them on ebay fairly regularly, I think for about 175 ish
 
The Longoni is carried by Ozone Billiards. It's a nice case. They also make a 1X2 that Ozone does not carry.
 
I have to carry a bunch of stuff since I often teach students at many different locations.

I got a hardshell rifle case that opens like a suitcase (36" x 12" x 4"). There is foam in the base and cover.

I hollowed out several sections to hold teaching tools, a few balls, and a little cue repair kit. My sticks (2 different butts, 4 shafts) rest on top of the foam.

Underneath the foam, I put note pads, pens, extra gloves, a coin purse, tip maintenance tools, and a couple backup shafts.

I also considered archery cases, but couldn't find a local dealer to do a hands-on comparison. The rifle case works good and contains everything without having to stop and think if I need anything else for a student or a tournament.

Here is a link to the EBay sale for the flat hard case that I won. Reasonable and well worth the money. 3x6 and the protective padding is more than adequate. The combo lock on it is good quality. I can leave the case on league night and not worry about someone getting into it.

The padded interior is attached with velcro and is removable as is the accessory pouch. I can put in my Q Claw, jump handle with more than enuff room for other things.

Hope you can see the sale page. If not, I can take a couple of pics. The seller told me that he can get more if needed.

It came from Abu Dhabi. DHL for $60 shipping. I thought that was reasonable for the size of the box. Probably would have been very close coming from the USA.

After over 2 years Mark (from O'Neil) has finally finished some cases for me.

I will update the other thread with pics and prices when I have the cases in my possession.

Sizes and colors were limited due to materials avaliable on hand.
All are Black with Black interiors.

3x3 two cases
6x6 five cases
4x8 one case
12x12 three cases

I still have a list of the original AZ members interested. Prices quoted for them will be honored and they will receive 1st choice.
 
Been looking at the butterfly vs. the box cases and I am liking the butterfly more, mostly because of the extra pockets, straps and the general look.
However I must ask, is it impossible to get a hard butterfly case?
Seems to me the butterfly cases only come in soft cases no matter who makes them.

Did you not look at my link?

That is about the closest you will come to a hard Butterfly case because of the interior.

The interior of mine will flip flop to either side for loading.
